24 hrs Darkness???

ok whats up all just had a question.... i was planning on starting flowering tomorrow but i just was woundering if i gave her 24hrs of darkness b4 if it will effect her at all..

some people swear by doing that even for 36 hours ive even heard 48, but i think thats a little rediculous but ive also heard about no dark period at all except for what it was already on

the long time in the dark is supposed to "reset the plants internal clock" if you do do it, it definately wont hurt the plant and maybe even help it but you dont absolutely have to

your choice

I don't think it really matters before flowering.......although giving the plant 24 hrs of darkness before harvest is a good idea

i give my plants 36 hrs darkness before starting 12/12 flowering schedule. definetly helps, gave me about 5-10 day head start, had hairs in 5 days. it wont hurt to try but seriously helps

Interesting. Never heard of that before. Do you do it often or only once so far?

interesting, i will try this out! i assume i still use the transitional nutes during this period? does this also mean you harvest 5-10 days earlier? thanks...

um dude there is 24 hours in a day 3 days are 72 hrs 36 hours is a day and a half

yes use your transition nutes, wont finish necessarily 5 to 10 days early unless you want it to. more gives those days to growing bigger fatter buds (more smoke) definitely worth doing, you will not harm plants by doing this, triggers flowering immediately because your plants sense the change in hrs of light immediately instead of gradually over those 5-10 days. hope this helps

Ummm.....I must have been smoking for too many years because I thought that 36 hours was a day and a half....hmmmmm

if 36 hours to you is 3 days whats 24 hrs???? smoke less live smart and your obviously after your last 2 comments in either the stupid or smart categorie. somewhere around jail level

its not necessary, but it does induce flowering.. i say no way to even 48 hours..... even 24 is kinda hard on the plant.. it gets wilty...... but now i never do it.. i just go from 24 to 12/12 and it works just fine... i actually havent noticed much of a difference either.

maybe i will try 16 hours instead, just to be on the safe side lol

Completely unnecessary....It was a mistake man...I was thinking about 3 days of 12/12 and I typed too fast without thinking.

I am sorry sir. I will try a little harder to not mess up....

LOL 36 Hours = 3 Days, think you need to lay off the bud mate, haha jokes
