240v to 120v led grow light adapter?

Sup guys i bought 2 rayonled 720w grow light 2 years ago but one of them came with a 240v powercord i was only using one light so it was ok but i want to use the other one now.

Can i use a 240v to 120v adapter like this one : https://www.amazon.ca/BloomGrow-220V-240V-110V-Adapter/dp/B078SJCG8R?ref_=ast_sto_dp or i need the powercord?

As long as the light is actually 120v, not 240v, OR it says ii can use 120v or 240v, the adapter should work. Make sure the unit is actually 120v, otherwise it may not work correctly. Why did they put a 240 type plug on a 120v unit?

I have 2 GLMF-720 and i tried the powercord from the other light and it work like a charm and maybe its a UK plug and not a 240v i bought it used localy in Québec.. So you think that adapter should work?

Yeah it should. I keep forgetting that many countries use 240v as house current. In the US house current is 120v, and most homes have 1-2 240 plugs. 240 is used for things like ovens/stoves.

If the light allows both voltages can you j7st chop of the plug and wire a new one on?

Voltage change usually requires a fairly hefty convertor .

For instance I bought a source turbo from the US and had to but a massive brick of a thing to turn it from 240v to 110 or whatever

It says 120/277Vac 60Hz standard, On the data sheet so I'd imagine like many drivers it works on either voltage and just requires the correct plug
