what benefit does running lights 12/12 from seed have? what exactly does running 12/12 from seed do. right now im running 24hrs untill the sprouts grow a few branches. then theyre going to 18/6. i was wondering what 12/12 is exactly.

Unless you're growing an auto flowering strain, your plant will just continue to veg under 18/6. 12/12 simulates the autumn equinox when the days get shorter and promote the plant to go into flower mode. (In a nutshell)

ive searched here, google, nothing seems to have a clear answer as to WHY you would want 12/12. its mostly just posts declaring theyre doing it and the results yeilded. i would just like a black and white answer as to why its different.

the plant goes RIGHT into flowering? how big would it get like that? is it beneficial for growers with very limited space?

only if you are growing autos--will they bud automaticly no matter the light you use .if not autos you must give some veg time then switch to 12/12 to tell plant its getting fall so do your job an make some bud most people i know veg 30 days inside -- some strains will go from seed to start growing bud in 20 or so days ==several crops a year

benefits are ..less electric..flower as soon as ready...less heat in summer....only need 1 grow space.................2-41/2 oz dry per plant.sounds good to me......

The 12/12 keeps plants managable for an indoor grow, they start to bloom as soon as they are able. I'm doing a 12/12 right now, I had pistils at 4 weeks and I see trix on the leaves at 5 weeks.

Keep in mind that the Equatorial region of the globe features a constant 12/12 day/night cycle year round. I understand the weed there is A-OK.

lemon skunk..........coco.......5ml hesi per litre............hammerhead pk 2ml per litre at first flower........fed every other day........600 watt hps dual spec....23/4 oz dry:leaf:.12-12 from seed

plants started at 12/12 will veg until they are mature enough to flower and start flowering as soon as they can. this shortens the time till harvest & amount of electricity used, the down side is the plants will start budding as soon as they can & wont get as big.
never tried it, got this from reading here.
