When you are running 18/6 for Veg dimm the lights down to 50%.

If you had the rooms on flipped schedules and simply dimmed the lights 50-75% that should account for enough amperage for going sealed & running A/C due to less power draw and less required BTU’s to cool.

Even with the lower wattage you would still great great quality/yields from going sealed with CO2 & A/C.

ive not had good luck running 1000w DE's dimmed especially if i go to running these at 60%-75% long term. at 750w the hps is now about 30w/sqft this is better than LED's at 40w/sqft? if they are both sealed and running ac then HPS 1kw lights dimmed to 75% in 5x5 (30w/sqft) would be better than LED at 40w/sqft?

For a room of that size I would definitely stick with the HID’s for now, especially if OP already has them. I don’t think the investment is worth the return.

22542w total HPS at 1000w with 5 tons ac
94 amps draw maxxed out. The wire between my 100a sub panel and 200a main is sized for 115amps it's 3c 1awg 1c 3awg aluminum. Not quite sure if that would suffice

I am tearing it down right now upgrading things and trying to decide if I sell off the HPS and go quantum boards. It's operating now unsealed no ac. The room cannot support running sealed with ac unless I go led.

Go with a 315w CMH sandwiched between 2 240w QB’s. Best of both worlds. 795w per tray with 5 ton AC leaves you at 80A. You could probably even get away with a 4 ton due to lower wattage and more efficient lighting.

You could go with 2 320w but you would be in a similar boat amperage wise.

How do you run your room with no ac? I can comfortably keep 6 lights at 27c easily with 18000 btu AC. As I'm waiting for my replacement mini split. I'll show you 12 lights running with mini split AC with co2 cools it no problem when it comes

1 room isnt built yet but when its built out in the basement it will flip flop with the 24x24. so it will be fine when im running at 12/12 but what happens when one room is in veg 18/6?

if i tried to seal room 1 now with 16x 1kw DE's (1200w on boost/.96/.98)=1275w x 16=20400+550=20950w total = 71480btu thats a 48k unit and a 24k unit. so 6480w +2800w max ac plus 20950w = 30230w total if i kept the DE's so 125a total draw @ 240v in this one room. the room is ran using a 100a sub panel. i could theoretically rewire this sub panel for 150-160 amps replace the 300' run of wire back to the main 200a panel and run the room sealed. then the problem is running 125 amps on a house that can at any time during the day pull some serious amperage by itself. Pool, spa, 7 tons of central ac, washing machine, elec dryer, oven, kids blow drying their hair, chest freezer, refrigerator, water heater, etc.

I designed an intake/exhaust system that operates on dampers and a thermostat

You should definitely replan your room. 1 veg 1 flower room or 1 veg room 2 flower rooms on a flip whatever floats your boat. Seal it run CO2 get AC. Your veg room doesn't a lot of lights. Cut down on some lights and run bigger pots. Literally your yield of 2-2.5 will be 3-3.5 maybe more who knows
 
I brainstormed all the options back when I built the rooms given my budget. separate veg room does not work for my house. Especially when you start talking about having to move plants from one room to another. They veg in the flower rooms with the lights at 600 for 2 to 3 weeks before getting flipped.

I did remember though that I have a spare 100 amp sub panel in a couple hundred feet of extra aluminum service entrance wire I can add a second 100 amp sub panel to run 8 tons of AC on that circuit. This would allow me to run all 16 double-ended lights even over driven to 1200 watts
 
Im almost done with this buildout. I kept the 1kw DE's and actually added 2 more for a total of 18x lights in roughly 4.5'x4.5' squares. i sealed the room and installed 2x 4 ton mini-splits that will still pump heat out down to -22f outside temps. finishing up building the SCROG frames, gotta get an HVAC tech to connect the refig lines and vacuum down the systems and lastly route the feed plumbing and dosatrons.
