250W cfl 6500k?

Hey,so i have 4 of these 250w cfl 6500k grow lights,i was wondering if 1 per plant would be enoph for veg stage.

Or should i just stop by home depot and pick up like 6 6500k 34w?

How many plants are you planning on growing?

The rule of thumb is to provide each plant in veg with at least 100W (of the right spectrum).

that prob should be good enough..

i have 1 plant vegging under three CFL 23w 5000k bulbs and she's doing fine so far. day20 from seed. 18/6.

Hey,so these are 1000w CFL's,250w equiv....i talk acctuall wattage....i will be growing 4 plants.

suggestions

will 1 per plant be good?or should i go less?let me know.

If you plan on using 250W Actual Wattage CFL (Per plant) then you'll be better off than most :)

100+ Actual watts per plant is a good way to go. Some even use 100W + 50W per extra plant. Just FYI.

Also, the beauty of CFLs' is that you can use some cheaper smaller wattage ones as side / substitute lighting.

thanks for the little run down,it truely helps...So if i throw 250w per plant,plus a couple 13w bulbs for side lighting,my plants will love me?
