Hey guys!
This is my first grow and I've been growing 1 Trainwreck plant for a little over 4 months now. As of right now, she's been on 67 days of flowering so it should be ready to harvest, however I'm doubting myself and I think it's probably better to get a more practiced opinion.
Before I post the pictures, I'd like to state a couple things
I know she's far from optimal, I had to flower most of the way through with a blue 250w CFL (I was planning on swapping it for a red 250w, but they were all out of stock when the time came and I've had to improvise. I managed to get 50w of red in a few weeks ago and it's helped a hell of a lot), and it wasn't until the end that I started adding much nicer nutrients, but nonetheless she smells incredible and some of the buds have actually ended up pretty dense.
For some odd reason, most of nicest and biggest growth I've experienced has been under the canopy in full shadow :S Not sure how it was getting the light, but my set up must be better than I'd thought. But yeah, please don't lecture me on where I've cocked up, I know where I've cocked up and that stuff's happened, now I need to focus on harvest!
I'm really worried that I'm going to miss the harvest window - the top cone has pretty much fully developed now, just tiny calyxes popping up literally perhaps one or two a week, so I'm sure that's ready. My qualms are with the lower buds, pretty sure they're not quite done because they've got white pistils, but some of them have a few amber trichs!
Here come the pictures
I tried to include everything I could, I know some pictures are blurry but I was trying to get the colours of the plant to show properly so that I cover everything any of you might need to see to know if I can harvest or not. If you don't recommend harvesting the whole thing, then how about the top then leaving the bottom to mature further? The top has quite a lot of amber trichs so I'm sure that's matured enough, but the bottom has just a few dotted about on every sugar leaf and some bud sections, would these mature further in drying/curing?
As I say, this is my first grow. I've gotten this far on research alone and a bit of trial and error and just doing what feels right to be honest, but I don't want to fuck up now by harvesting too early or too late.
Also I should add I'm not too bothered about the yield, I knew what I was getting myself into when I had to use the blue spectrum to flower!
Hopefully you guys will be able to help me If you need any other pictures to give me more certain advice, I'll take some tomorrow, but if she's ready to come down asap, then that's great
Sorry if I've rambled/made no sense...I am toasted.
Thanks everyone!
