2700K and 6500K For Seedlings?

If seedlings, (grown from seed ovbiously) are planted in peat pods and just starting to develope is it an ok idea to have a large 6500K CFL (68W) and a smaller 2700K (28W) Next to it to provide , more Blue light and a tiny bit of red light...? I think the seedlings are stretching and i was under the impression that haveing lots of blue, with a touch of red would keep the seedlings from stretching out ect. These puppies seem stretched as they are very flimsy and TALL.. like really tall.. like not even one week and they are 3" or 4" tall already. I dont know if this is normal as they have one set of * true leaves* and they are developing their second set now.

The lights are nearly 10 inches away.. maybe this has something to do with it? Any opinions on this or the red light?

Am i mistaken with the red and blue? Should i scrap the red totally and just stick to blue .. remember folks the sun always emits both colors of the spectum at all times in variying degrees so i figure this is ok, and i also thought i heard somewhere that a touch of red will stop the stretch.. who knows.. anyone???!?! rep plus for answers

the blue and red light is ok it wont hurt the plant at all. as for the streaching 10 inches is to far put the like 3 inches away form the sprout

yea the reason for the stretching is because there trying to get as close to the light as it can so put the lights way closer and ull be fine
