Way to much butane. 1 can per ounce of material. (generally)You most likely still have butane trapped based on the amount you used. If you don't have a vacuum set up, get your grittle or whatever you use to give it the water bath turn the heat to about 110F and let it sit for hours until the product is done. Do it in couple ounce batches until finished. Make sure to purge it on parchment paper. A lot of times silicone will leach silicone into your wax.

Cool I really appreciate the help. I found my main problem. The trim is extremely fresh. I couldn't tell before its been frozen since I got it but I talked to the grower and he said he bags and seals 3 days after the chop. I ran some of my other friends dried popcorn and got golden butter and a slab of shatter. Currently drying the 2 pounds of bomb trim in an attempt to salvage some dignity. Really hoping it won't turn out oily this time, seriously can't wait for my vac purge

I definitely used too much butane. The smaller runs I did last night worked perfectly and thanks for the water bath temp. I could never figure out if the water or the oil was supposed to be that temperature

Oil. So generally you have to turn the skillet/grittle to like 140ish. If you go over 110(on the wax) thats fine but you start to burn terps. So be careful. Getting a temp gun helps if you dont have one already.
