Happy news on the seed front..www.marijuana-seeds.nl agreed since I had such crappy germ rates and males they decided to throw in some "freebies" with my new order.
I ordered all feminized this time, 10 white rhino, 10- medi Bud(says up to 1200 gm/plant!), and 10-amsterdam haze, with that they are replacing 10 bubblegum, 10 white widow and 10 crystal, all feminized, and this WILL be my last seed order for a long while, time to get a couple great mums and get to cloning, I got 10/10 on that 1 batch but this last attempt sucked, was pulling limp slimy ones out every few days, not many rooted, but I tried to clone them in flower after I saw what monsters a few had become, so not the best idea of mine.
Now for my seedlings..I germed 8 crystals, 1 kinda pooped out at 1/4" and looks to be dying, 7 look leggy and healthy, also have others germing, 1 bubble, and still have about 10 in the moist paper germing.
This will be a pick the best of them thing, and along with some fem seeds from my new order will make up my first hydro grow with my ebb&grow.Or maybe I will plant these(seedlings) out on the hillside somewhere and just go all feminized in this grow, will be nice not wasting resources on males.
Got my hugee ass tent today, as well as a box big enough for a big flat screen TV with a 50 ft roll of actual shiny mylar in it,lol.. but man, can't they ship in tubes??? Guess that is "discreet packaging" haha...neighbors are going to wonder wtf with packages due here for the next week plus, ordered another 600 watt light, plus 2 fans, a carbon scrubber with air filter, ducting, new ec meter as my ppm one died already.
Every surface of the room will be covered in mylar, the tent is 96"x76" by 48" it's a monster, how many plants ya think I can grow in that? Also beefed on the security issue, installed outside lighting on the building, new electrical panel, a combo lock and a key'd lock will both be used on the main door, the swing-out doors will be sealed shut and framed with plywood over them so no light creeps out, though the actual room within is light sealed.
I am also going to put in a couple cameras, just cheapies I can view on my laptop anytime or my pc. This neighborhood has gone to shit, if I have methed out zombies walking through my yard in broad daylight looking for "treasures" in my side yard while I am HOME, then this will just set my mind more at ease. Joined the neighbor in a "neighborhood watch" type thing, he has a cam aimed at his driveway/main road, so any cars that do go by (I am the only house down here) better have a reason to be, he gets plate numbers of strange cars, which was oddly comforting.
As big as that tent is do ya think it'll be far too hot with 3 lights(w/ fans and vented outside?)? 3 should cover the footprint nicely..think I will do 1K in the middle and a 600 on each side when they are bigger, overlap the lighting, and run MH and HPS both in flowering next time.Read somewhere the increased spectrum helps yields.Thinking I will still veg with the T-5 till they get a certain height, the light seems much more gentle on young plants, and mine always did better under the T-5 in early veg. Maybe now with plenty of room I can veg some under MH and some under T-5 to compare.
Very excited, got the 65 gal res cleaned and sterilized, ready 2 go! Need to resoak and clean all the hydroton tomorrow and get the ebb and grow setup now that I have seedlings! Won't put into the pots until they are 6" or so and am NOT going to use the 4x4 rockwool, just put them right in in the starter plugs, less rockwool to have buildup in. I'm sure that small amount of initial support while they're building up roots will be plenty to keep them upright.
My flowers don't seem to me to be getting much bigger yet, but they still have 4-6 weeks, don't know the thc snow is supposed to be ready in 6 weeks..not sure it will be.
sadly, I am going to have to face the facts, luna is NOT getting ANY pistils...if it weren't for my project with her and Icannabis, we wouldn't be growing so well!!! So it'll be hard to put him out to pasture...I got my new jewelers loupe and mag glass, so I will give her a little longer. I think pulling off balls and all the wishing in the world isn't working, lol. Out of the 19 plants that got this far I have only 11 or 12 females..males need to be chopped tomorrow, nothings changing.Glad I started with more, knew some would be male but not that many.
My bubble clone I took off 2 grows ago before they died (feminized) is now close to 6 feet and covered in flowers, is there a way I can weigh her limbs down, they are wanting to touch the light which is all the way against the ceiling! She has 6 main cola sights and I think if I do this right is going to be a killer yielder! I was thinking soft cloth/rope and just pull them down slightly and thread the bottom of it through the cloth pot? So more light can get on the inner parts and so she keeps herself off the bulb??!
I have never thought of sog'ing b4, but now can def see it's benefits, maybe I will try that so all the colas are at the same level? Do ya have to use like wire fencing? I worry about puncturing my tent...I would have to clear off all the under foliage and then just train it to the screen, I have watched many videos on it, does it generally make for better yields?
I can pack them in the tent pretty tight, without worrying about making it in to water(with the hydro), but still going to have to come up with a design so it's easy to access them when big to look them over every so often (like daily) Am also thinking about using rigid PVC instead of the 1/2" black tubing to set the pots all together., that will make my nutes warmer running through all that black tubing...will keep the res outside the tent where it's still very cool.
Been having trouble 4 some reason last 2 days with my room temps, they always have stayed 78-79 tops...yesterday was up to 85 I freaked, I read they quit growing at like 84?
It is getting a tad warmer out, but still in the 40's at night,. 50's in the day, window open 3" with a fan blowing the heat out the window..not sure if that tint increase in outside temps would cause this, if so I am going to have problems in the summer, though we usually don't have terribly hot summers, we get some waves in the 90's now n then...also, budding humidity has to be down for the plants to get resinous, right? I may also need a dehumidifier..shit this is 50 & 100'ing me into the poor house! I'm having a hard time keeping humidity under 60, but once the lights are vented outside, may even get worse as that heat dries things up I'm sure.
I did see a decent enough one for like 168 on amazon, maybe next week.
Psyched to get my hydro grow going...totally stoked with the new genetics I ordered and that they should be all girls! Happy growing..

flowering seems to be going pretty slow...what ya think?
Moved them out to the cold garage, I hope they don't have a hard time adjusting to cooler temps..with a small space heater at lights out it goes down to 60's...I always kept them 74-78 indoors, hope they can adjust, maybe it'll convince them it's "autumn". I can hope, anyway.
any idea how I will know if the cold is too much on the roots, like what symptoms they would show? The shorter plants I have set up on upside down plastic pots so they are up off the cold concrete, and I used a long 2' wide piece of sheet rock, cut into 6 and wrapped each in a garbage bag to try to keep the cold off the roots for the ones in the cloth bags and plastic bag, from what I've read the root zone should stay in the 70's? That will be hard to pull off, it was down into the 30's last night...any ideas?
sorry, new pics failed to upload will try again...happy growing~

I think the 2 600w will be great in that tent no need to add the 1000w just get enhanced spectrum bulbs they have the blue added...or add a couple side fluorscents to beef up the blue...you know the cheapo T-8 ones I used in my last grow...I'm going to order an induction light and see how it compares to HPS/MH...Luna turned out to be a man...<---sorry about your luck...I hate cutting good looking plants...and where did all this money come from buying more lights and meters and tents...don't get carried away...at this point you've got enough stuff...now maximize your setup...and as far the cold if they are in a tent then the heat will last a few hours after lights out and then a small heater will keep them in the 65-70 range...don't wrap the buckets in bags it cuts off air flow to the roots...just put the pots on a piece "O" wood like a 2 by 4...or something sheet rock is just so messy...and it harbors mold...anyway good growing

ahh ok, I wrapped the sheetrock in the plastic, not the pots, lol..but I did pull them out after I found 2 sheets of 4' 3/4" plywood..that aughta keep the cold off the roots...Ive noticed since theyve been in the tent a few leaves on the top colas of the tall girl must blew against the light, looks a bit burnt in a few places...those tops are right next to that bat wing cheap assed thing..
well I went for the extra stuff knowing that tent would be like Hades without proper ventilation, so was about time to buy the proper stuff, and hey a 9x4 x6'9" tent for 139.99...can't beat it in my book, those 4x4'tents at the hydro store they want 280-300 for! and the 3rd light was to save some money if I could do ok on 2-600 watters, and I could do a batch with the 1k in the center if they all have sealed airhoods(which they will when I get the new one, I'll put the hood from my 1K on the other 600, then can setup the 2 fans with ducting and the air scrubber)..figured more yield=more light,or vice versa..damn I never sleep anymore..was muchhh easier caring for them in my bedroom, though they were taking up 1/4 of it! And making everything damp and windows were always wet--->was screaming something!
Have my pit staying out in the open area of the garage now...got him a great tore up recliner to sleep on, he thinks he's in dog heaven..his favorite smell and a soft chair, what could be better!
Some of my lower fan leafs are getting a bit of yellowish-brown around the edges, I can't imagine why I'm still way low on ppm's (about 850) I guess I should be upping that, but not sure what to do, I put in the called for amounts of gro micro & bloom and the roots catalyst stuff(a cap/gallon) and worm tea, a cap a gal.. and it still has ppms that low(again, even on city water, my h20 ppms hover around 30)..I see some charts go all the way close to 2000 and beyond, but the "weekly ppms to aim for" I got off the i-net only goes up to 1100...do u see a problem with the flowers developing if it isn't higher?
Let me know...thanks so much..
Happy growing..so my 6-8 weeks of flowering time doesn't start when I flipped them to 12/12, but when they had first flowers? Was I right in you writing that on here somewhere? Theres 3 that I KNOW are females, have hairs all over, but no flowers like the bubble, thc snow and white widow..I'm unsure why they aren't further ahead as they are all 6-8 weekers now with Luna out of the picture due to her balls!
I'm actually unsure on the romulan x grapefruit mix...shes loaded with pistils, just no organized flowers as of yet, 4 weeks that's crazy huh? Well all I can do is hope..so I still need to pull them out now and then to look them over to make sure none go hermie?
I'm just wondering if those last 3 males I brought back in with them didn't release some pollen, then instead of making flowers theyd be busy making seed, right?
That wouldn't be all bad I guess if 1 or 2 got some..but would suck to be me if they all grew seeds!
anyhooo...goodnight!
Oh, I hit the jackpot at the casino at least 2-3x a month :-) won 2800 this month, that was my furniture/mad money!!

no the 1k should be put in another tent if you want to increase yield because two 600 watters is pushing the limit in that space I know I've tried 3 lights but they where 400 watters didn't yield anymore...I'd get another 5x5 tent and put the 1000 watt light in there and fill it with as many plants as the floor space will allow...and the pistils are a good thing they bulk up the last two-three weeks of flower...your probably at 1 month so give it another and see where your at...good growing

I can't find anything on google about a sativa dom N lights strain, except if mixed with like haze...Mines DEF sativa Dominant it also says NYCD is sativa Dom (mine looks VERY indica) and No..I didn't mis tag them, lol....wth is with these seed companies? Do I even know what I'm growing?? I do know it's going to take 9-11 weeks to flower, that's crazy!!

But really you don't know that either...lol. The only way I know I have what they say they sent me is if I see someone else growing the same strain and ours look the same...or rather have the same leaf shape and growth and so on and so forth...that has happened a few times and it always makes me feel better..but sometimes there are so many different variations even of a specific strain that you can't always tell that way either......Really you just have to use clones to find out how a plant finishes before you know if you want to keep that one, because a seed from that strain even might not end the same as the seed you bought..if there are a lot of different phenos..

A lot of times what you are seeing and thinking is underfert I see and think overfert.... Then again I can never seem to figure out which one it was...I just start skipping more feedings and giving just water, and they all make it to the end...albeit a little yellow, but yields and smoke I am happy with...

here is the deal...if you keep the foliage warmer than necessary it doesn't matter if the roots are cold...and conversely if you keep the roots warm it doesn't matter if the leaves get colder than alright...lol.

So I would put a heating pad of some sort under the pots or something...get the pots warm and it doesn't matter as much if the leaves get cold...but if they are 60 and no colder that might slow growth and little and perhaps lock up a tiny bit of phosphorous...so if you get something that looks like a phosphorous deficiency do not add more nutes...it will not help...but as long as nothing is wilted or just damaged looking they are fine...it might just take a little longer...

I think I have a problem, Houston!
I looked over my girls this morning with a 80x magnifier i just got, some of the bud hairs are starting to turn a reddish brown color on the tips, BUT THE LEAVES attached to each bud site hardly has ANY THC crystals on them, not 1 plant is frosty like I see them at 4 weeks in others grows, so I am wondering, they make crystals as a form of protection from getting too dried out, I have only been able to keep my humidity in the 40's when they are dry and ready for another feed, then it flies back up into the 60's-low 70's..so will my plants not get any THC crystals if it is too humid????I know mold can be a potential problem if humidity is high, but these flowers are NOT dense, just small flowers, what am I doing wrong???!!!! Just when I spent the last of the disposable income, too and can't afford to get a dehumidifier.
Shit, what am I going to do...and it doesn't seem like the actual flowers are getting bigger and spreading down the stem, either, just small flowers all over..with very few crystals :-(
I will go take some pics, but this should be coming up on 5 weeks on the 12/12 cycle..they should be covered in crystals by now, shouldn't they? THC snow is a 6 week strain supposedly, I can't see it being ready in a week, or even 2!!!..and the 2 that are starting to get brownish red hairs are the thc snows...helppp!!!!
FYI: got all the pots off the cement ground, the short ones I put on upside down pots, and the rest I put on 3/4" plywood pieces I found new in my garage loft, think the roots are a-ok! just the above problems now...

I think I have the warmth managed now, using a small space heater on the floor of the tent I run it on the low setting, keeping the tent 72-72 degrees, which is ok for night time, my problem now is no tricomes, I have a ton of flowers without that snowwy look on the close leafs :-(
Ordering a dehumidifier off amazon that I can just set to like 38-40% and it'll drain the rest out the door through a hose.
I got my seeds today YAY..I got 10 Fem mediBud, 10 fem white rhino, plus they replaced my bad lot by sending me free 10 white widow fem, 10 crystal fem, and 10 bubblegum fem, and even tossed in 3 Northern lights fem seeds as my "freebie" these seeds look a LOT plumper than the previous, am hoping for 100%!!
Am soaking 5 white rhinos trying to get a similar time frame finisher, so not sure what else i will throw in yet.....will put em in wet paper as soon as they sink so should have some germinated babes in 3 days!
I think this coming hydro grow is going to be awesome, I look forward to learning so much more!!!

Don't go by what the seed company said as the finish time that is in perfect condition and for expert growers...just let them bulk up and build buds...when the THC crystal or trichomes turn cloudy you'll be ready and realize that some parts of the plant develop faster than others and don't compare to other peoples grows thats not productive to your success...just finish this grow and the next will go better and better till your an expert...good growing

shit..just lost a whole big post, damnity! NOT GOING TO RE TYPE...HERES AN UPDATE, SAW ACTUAL TRIChOMES TONIGHT AFTER GIVING A HeAVY WATERING WITH FULL DOSE OF BEASTIE BLOOMZ LAST NIGHT..sorry bout the caps...damn nothing is working tonight..
Ok so I'm starting 6 mediBud, 5 Amsterdam haze and 5 white rhino's..they will be a couple weeks behind the 6 crystals, 2 ice and 2 big buds and 1 bubble gum, though 3/4 of them will probably be male, will have to do a preflower early this time, no more waiting until 5 foot to find balls..and the 16 germing now are all girls..
Heres an update of pics..
nighty all.

so the white widow in pic 32....all those tops that look barren will be loaded with bud??????the raise up to almost 6 feet now!
see pic 40..that is all 1 plant, like almost 3 ft wide! but loaded with popcorn buds :-( I hope they fill out like a real MJ plant!!!!!

wow...been almost 2 weeks since I have made an update, ahhh, life!
The girls have not only outgrown the huge tent, but they are pretty much taking up a 16x18 room now! (9 plants!) Up to 3 lights, running 1600 watts HPS and 600 MH (read this helps spectrum-wise with buds?)
The plants under that 1 seem to be behind, but have been all along. Things are filling out, my 2 biggest gals are close to 6.5 feet, one is 4' wide or more, with 6 tops!!!(Thank you, Uncle Ben!!!!)
I made a couple videos to appreciate the size of these gals...will try to upload later! These pics taken with my new android and are much better than my 14 mp camera..go figure!
Have some all female seedlings started, putting the ebb& gro together tomorrow, 5 clones from my best bubblegum girl took, so will add them, too.see if they revert to veg. They seem to already have while rooting under 24 hr lights.
Happy growing all~~

Oh and the bubbles are finally starting to get frosty, but not like I see in other pics...trichs are all clear still...not sure how long I have on the furthest along gals, so when do I know when to start flushing, and do I only have to do for 10 days? Guy at hydro store said he flushes a month!!???? That goes against everything I have read, but he grows in reg soil...my plants are mostly coir-perlite mix.. sunshine advanced #4 (I LOVE this stuff!!)
Almost afraid to start my hydro grow, have 6 plants in it already, will do a total of 15 feminized, mixture of white widow, medi-bud & bubblegum and maybe 1 white rhino.Plus I have 6 crystal I started a week before them, which are reg seed, and will probably be 3/4 male.(only 1 of 3 germinated properly) have been top feeding, had to buy new 1/2" connectors, can't seem to find since move..new b/f is going to mod it to 1" holes and hard plumb w/ pvc on next grow (fall perhaps)and is starting designs for a fully automated grow he is going to convert his double garage to for me!! (he is a tech junkie!) he wants me to be able to monitor everything from my laptop, lol...we shall see!!!!
Going to use co2 as he has tanks already, and get that monitor that turns it on and auto vents when temps reach a certain level, etc.He seems to think he can make a gadget that will add appropriate amount of nutrients for add back to reservoir, again..we shall see!!! Should be fun trying to design this awesome medical grow!!!!
Let me know if ya see anything on plants that is concerning...please...input please, anything I can do to make them more crystally?
I got a small dehumidifier, cheapo..it only is keeping it around 50%, that seems to high still, I read low 40's? At only 48 bucks it only pulls a cup or two out a day, thinking of a 60 pint size, but my guy has a point, as hot as its getting in there now that spring weather is here(mid 60's to 70's outside in the day), may as well wait and just get an a/c-dehumidifier in one.Room temp gets up to 82, down to 70 at night.
Still using GH, now on just micro and bloom, no grow till harvest, they are getting some N from the soluble foxfarm cha ching and beastie blooms (I have been adding a tsp of each to 5 gal) on their water only days.
They seem to be very happy with the mixture, no yellowing yet of lower leaves, though I tend to pull ugly foliage :-( have some on top colas with white spots I am guessing from when I had to tie those big gals down while in the tent, they were right by the lights, is light bleaching in an uneven formation? like spotty? my white spots are...
Happy growing all~~
Can't hardly wait for my 1st harvest!!!
Thanks again to Icannabis and the other great helpers before him!!!!!!
