2nd CFL grow 4 ft girls

Hey guys how's it going? Just migrated over here not too long ago so I figured I'd post up my progress thus far! Well this is my 2nd CFL grow and I must say it is going great so far! 1st grow also went very good however my plant stayed small and I only got 10g dried from her. Although it was dank as fuckkkk! It was an all organic grow seeing as I didn't feel ready to use nutes or anything like that. I'll include a few pics of that harvest too possibly.

As soon as I put my first plant into flower I ended up growing 5 nice size plants out, unfortunately only 2 of them turned out to be girls! I'm just using the miracle gro organic soil as well as miracle grow nutes for veg as well as flower. It's easy and cheap (home depot) and I've had no problems with PH or anything (only by looks, don't have a PH tester...why have one if my plants are growing good?). Anyways I wouldn't want you guys to wait too long so here are some pics I just took today. Let me know what you think, I feel as though I've learned about as much as I can from research. Experience, however I am lacking in so please feel free to help!

They started flowering Nov. 8 and are just some bagseed from some pretty dank stuff. Sorry I've only got my cell phone on me but I'll update with good pics as soon as I grab my digital camera.

Damn I've never seen a CFL grow with plants that tall! Haha nice work. They do look like they stretched a little bit though. Best of luck with the harvest!

Been growing with CFL's a couple of times, I didn't know you could grow them that big! I alway's thought the lower branches
were a drag on the plant's do to the poor light penetration. Did you do anything special?

forsuree. wat kinda CFL's ya got?
they are the 26 (i think) watt 2700k CFL's from home depot. I have 11 of those. Then i have a T8 light up above with 2 32 watt bulbs that are also 2700k.

Nothing special was done that i can think of. The plants did stretch a little bit but there are definitely a lotttt of bud sites on them. I topped them only once when they got to the like 4th nodes or something like that. Then just simply feed nutrients every other watering. Started at like .25x strength and am now at about 1.5x strength. I don't know if it's good to go over or not, but they don't get any nute burn or anything so I figure why not? Can anyone offer any insight on that?

I tried to take care of the side lighting as much as possible and I think i'm getting some pretty good penetration. Hoping the buds will start to fatten up here pretty soon.

Anyways I'll try and post some new pics on Sunday with my actual camera if I can remember to take it to my apartment lol.

EDIT: I also forgot, the 5 plants were vegged under a T8 light with 2 32 watt bulbs that were 6500k. That's it.

Very nice indeed. You know if you lower the lights they wont grow so tall. but you probably know that.
I know its a good idea to lower the potency of your nutes if they are babys. But i dont know how over dosing them as adults will turn out. I guess it would be ok as long as you dont see signs of nute burn. If you did, i would stop asap.
You should also considering flushing them many times if your giving them additional nutes. The more you put in the harder is becomes to flush it out and the more complications it can cause with your plant and the medium it grows in. You probably dont want to be smoking the nutes you jammed down its throat so remember to flush and do it more than once imo.

thanks for the info! i usually water with nutes, then do 2 waterings with plain water, then back to nutes again. hopefully something to that effect is correct?

as for the lights, they were pretty much always within 3" of the plants and they just grew that much. now i just have them arranged to cover multiple bud sites seeing as it's done growing tall and now fattening up in the bud region

with any light source you really want to keep the lights as close as possible without burning the plants. The closer the light source is, the more light they will get. 3foot is quite a ways away. try a 8 inches to a foot. Unless you like them tall and skinny. Whatever floats your boat. Good luck and keep growin!

alright so once again, i forgot my damn camera! :cuss: however i'll be going home and returning hopefully on friday and i'll try to remember again lol.

anyways i took a few pics a few minutes ago, i was bored.

Alright so today is officially day 37 of flower, both plants have very sativa like traits. Looks like this might be a 3 month flower period! But I'm thinking if it takes 3 months...these buds are gonna be huge? could be wrong!

anyone have any other thoughts?
