2nd grow 1st soil grow

Hello!

I have just started my second grow and this time I would like to see how soil goes. I just completed a hydro grow 6 plants with a 9 oz yield (not too bad not too great).

I have 4 seedlings in 16 oz red cups with ocean forest soil (wanted to be as basic as possible first time). I have been watering every 3 days or so and things seem to be going smooth and really easy.

My main question is - I still have a lot of AN Jungle Juice left from my hydro grow and was wondering if it was possible to use this with the soil grow. I was just using the lucas formula for hydro.

Also would week 3 or 4 be better for implementing nutes to ocean forest

JMI if you started in hydro and got 9zips from 6 plants, dont expect more than that out of soil unless you veg a very long time. I have never gotten great yields out of soil, I have done wonderful numbers in flood & drain and Aero though.
I would check the specs on the Juice and compare to soil version and will give ya an idea how to feed it via soil, I dont think you will hurt anything as long as you adjust accordingly.
I always start nutes in FFOF around week 3 or after second set of true leaves.

Good luck!

I forgot to mention one of the 6 died early on so it was really 9 from 5 plants I guess, but anyway I wasn't looking necessarily for more yield just less noise/maintenance.

Also thank you for recommendation on the nutes, I think that will work well.

I concur, If you consider 9 zips as subpar then your going to think this soil grow is terrible lol

and soil is MORE maintience...significantly more labor actually, especially compared to say flood and drain.

Also, Your nutes will work fine.

Let me explain a bit WHY soil is more labor because its a little hard to picture if you have'nt done both:

1) With hydro you might change your water here and there - with soil you are hauling buckets of water every couple days and making a mess, creating humidity

2) with hydro you have to check your res ppm/ph/temp every now and then, maybe top it off - with soil you should do it with every single bucket of water

3) with hydro you just clean off your rock or throw away some pellets or whatever your using - with soil you are hauling dirt, mixing it, dumping it..etc...
