2nd grow advice: Germinating in final pot?

First some history and background. My first grow was in a PC box I converted, so I needed to utilize the space as efficiently as possible. To help maximize the vertical space I opted to use a 1/2 gallon tupperware that was was much wider than taller. I chose to germinate in that same tupperware so I wouldn't have to try transplanting or anything like that. If you want more details, check out this thread or this thread. If you didn't want to check those out, then end result was harvesting 2 zips of dried blue mystic :blsmoke:.

I'm getting ready for my next grow, and of course I want to do some upgrades. I will keep the PC grow box as a vegging chamber at the least. I want to build a bigger flowering chamber so I don't have any size constraints. Ideally I want to get a closetmaid wardrobe cabinet and pimp it out for a semi-stealth grow cabinet. A little birdie on my shoulder is telling me I did pretty well in the PC box alone, just keep with that and do small tweaks. (I'm getting a sample kit from House-Garden so I can try out their line of additives, I only used their Cocos A/B in my first grow).

If I decide to build a new cabinet, I will opt to use a 2gallon Smart Pot this time around. Would I be stupid to germinate and start my next girl out in the Smart Pot? Am I being too afraid of transplanting? What do y'all think the pros and cons are of germinating in the final 2gallon pot?

I would be all for putting them in their final pot if they are a fem seed, because it is very likely it will be a female if it is a reg id do solo cups to start to save soil. theres an easy way to transplant instead of pulling out of the cups you cut the bottom of one cup out and put it inside another once the roots come out of hte bottom place in a few inches into the final pot and the roots will just spread out. What strains will you be running?
