I understand with topping it keeps height in check but could increase yield, does LST have any benefit other than keeping height in check?

The main benefit of LST is to allow better light penetration to the lower branches to increase the yield and create an even "canopy."

Another question, i know i know i'm sorry...anyway. I just noticed that one of my plants have different colored leaves. The lower leaves are a definate lighter shade of green then the rest and the new leaves that are forming at the top have a bit of brown on the tips. I'm thinking maybe i have over watered it? Your thoughts...

I know! Didn't have pics when i posted, slacker me!...here you go. Out of the 3 plants only this one is looking like this. Nothing different between any of them as far as everything else goes.

I would flip those to 12-12 today. I dont know how much medicine your wife needs. But that is plenty of veg time for big plants. I veg my plants 0 days. So dont think you need to veg plants. There is really no need in complicating things with growing techniques. Just start growing and figure out how to adjust. Nothing is going to go like the youtube show you. You are growing with different genetics. Live and learn. good luck. and you will probably get better hps help in a different forum. =]

I took your advice and put them into 12/12 last night. They were only 6" tall though so hopefully they will shoot up now and really produce for me!
