2nd grow need help 400 watt mh/hps soil

whats good everybody thanks for checking out my thread. This is only my second grow so i i guess im still considered a newb. My last yield was 18 grams per plant using cfls.I am aiming for an ounce and a half this time if possible. I will appreciate any input through out the way. so heres my set up .

Strains- purple kush 1st pic, blue dream haze 2nd pic, plantnium og, strawberry cough last pic. these were all premium clone cuts from a co- op. Got the two sativas tied down and all of them are topped. they all stand from 8 to 11 inches tall.

Grow room- closet space 3 By 2 with f ft of available grow height. Im using a 400 watt mh light for vegging and will use hps for flower. my temps are between 81 and 86 and hot days. And this is obviously a soil grow. ocean forest 3 gallon pots

Nutes- for now just grow big but open to suggestions

Goal- aiming for 1.5 oz per plant i might be aiming to high, either way im sure ill be happy with the results


Any other details you may need to help let me know. the purpose of this thread is to receive guidance and advice from more experienced growers so i can getthe best results possible. Also hoping someone will call me out if i do some thing stupid thanks

hey man im also growing strawberry cough along with blue cheese and critical sensi star, also am using 400w mh/hps set up with ocean forest soil aaaand also aiming for 1.5 ounces i literally just planted the seedlings a day ago after 24 hour germination. Can't wait to see how your strawberry turns out because seeing as we have similar set ups, yours will be a preview for what i have in store.

is this your first 400 watt grow? how long do you plan to veg? cus i still haven't decided whats best.

not too much going on but getting some good side growth. I lstd the shit out of them because height will be an issue down the road. Anybody any suggestions on how long i should veg?i am aiming for 1.5 oz or more, my plant height cant go over 3 ft. i think i provided enough info to get a rough estimate from an experienced grower. If not sorry for the dumb question.

Can't wait to see the harvest dude! I would veg only until a foot tall at most because the height will double to triple during flower.

I'd say flower em at 12" -which it looks like they are. Figure on another 2 feet in flower at least so 3" is your max? flower now.

they are all not quite at a foot tall. Can i still reach my goal with this amount of vegging?

Yea it is i grew some bagseed with flouros b4 but it blew so this is my first legit set up, i plan on vegging them till their about a foot tall maybe more depending on speed of growth

LSTs worked wonders for me in keeping my girls short as I have a height issue too (max 2.5 ft tall). I set this limit back at the start of veg.. my girls are in week 4 of flowering now and I can safely say height will not be an issue for the rest of this grow due to extensive LST.. lots of pics in my journal, might help you with some ideas. My method basically involves bending them right over and tying them to the side of the pot, and then going around it using pipe cleaners to hold it down.

check my ladies out 10 days of flowering, they all stand around 1.5 feet tall except blue dream wich i had to tie down. i cloned all of them and have the cuttings sitting in a dwc sysytem. Im feeding with M.o.a.b untill i can get some tiger bloom or something similar. so what do you guys think will i hit my two ounce for plant goal or will i fall short? Only my second grow any input you may have please share thanks

All my clones rooted, cloned around fifteen cuttings an gave some away. Im going to give this dwc thing a try, from what ive seen here it does great things. Using Grow big hydro nutes they're about a week in vegging, havent seen any roots sticking out the baskets yet. Any experienced dwc growers feel free to comment
