2nd indoor grow diary(400w HPS)

Hi all,

After having a beauty of a 1st grow, ive now moved on to grow number 2, and have also decided to take the plunge and try 2 at a time

Please note i am not a hardcore grow vet, nor do i proclaim to be. Everything i have done has come from hours and hours surfing the net and even posting my own questions. I made mistakes early on in my 1st grow, but managed (with great advice) to sort these and ended up pulling 13.5 oz so was more than happy

Now its time for grow 2

I am growing Royal queen fruit spirit, and Ice Kush. Im growing under 400w hps, although for the 1st 3 weeks i used my 250w hps. I am also using a soil mix from a grower friend (works for me, and 20+ grows for him). Im not a huge fan on nutes(let the slating begin) so only use feed once a week, but as i said before, this works for me so why change something if its not broken

Here are some pics so far (not reat quality im afraid), and ill update more on a weekly basis.

They will be 5 weeks old on 10/5/13.

Not sure on whether to top these or not. Topped my last one at 3 weeks old and she grew to about 5ft As im growing in a modified wardrobe i am limited on space

Here they are at 5 weeks old. I went ahead and topped them both 2 days ago aswell.



Fruit Spirit is now 22" tall, and the Ice Kush is 20". Still got a good 3-4 weeks before i switch to 12/12 but so far so good

You should try to tie the new colas down and spread that bitch eagle so you can get better penetration with your light.

Either that or do a staggered harvest.

Ive had to switch them to 12/12 from today as have a holiday booked for end of August, so they'll have plenty of time to flower before then

Here they are at week 7 (1 week into flower).

Fruit spirit has grown to 29" and the Ice Kush is upto 22"

Also trimmed abit of the bottom that were lacking max light.

Thanks Oat, my bro brought some green over once that was grown in the same stuff, couldnt smoke enough of it lol.

Decided to use the same when i started my first grow as didnt really want to mess with nutes 2 much if i didnt need to,as inexperienced at the mo )

Seems to be doing well for me, touch wood, and ill probably continue to use on any future grows.
