This is my 1st attempt at growing so I started off with seeds from some bag weed, just to experiment and see if I could grow a healthy plant to maturity. I wanted to grow hydro, but I started off in soil, so that was mistake No. 1 LOL. Anyway, my plant's are showing the little white pistils and the biggest plant is 42" (106.68 cm) and the smaller plant is 36" (91.44 cm) tall, there into about the 11th day of 12/12, humidity is between 57 -71 F (135 - 160 C) and room temp 73 - 81 F (163 - 178 C). the grow area I built is made from 0.75" (1.905cm) CDX Board the over all room area is 10'x4'x6' (3.048m x 1.2192m x 1.8288m) which is divided into a flowering area of 6'x4'x6' ( 1.8288m x 1.210m x 1.8288m), this conversion stuff if killing me , just trying to give you a good idea of the room... Lighting is 3-48" 40 w 4100k T8 and 3- 48" 40 w 6500k . I want to upgrade to 400-600w HID for flowering room but funding is short right now, so will nutrients increase my chances of some type of success or should I bit the bullet and invest in lighting ? Thank you for any suggestions pics inc

if money is tight and nutes are cheaper, i'de go with that. ur plant will turn out better using, than not using nutrient. but not as good as if u had an HID.

Thanks Mconn, I've been checking out the GH brand, and Technaflora, but I read a thread on here yesterday and the guy was talking about his grow journal and I scoped out his use of the Fox Farm nutes....so it's kind of up in the air with that, but there not really that cheap....LOL, but as you said "cheaper than the HPS lights....LOL

Hey LS, thanks I was wondering about the yield, but my plants are getting kind of tall and I think I'm gona have to bend them and tie them down and see if I can keep from burning them up, I read a article on bending and think that will work out for me, because of my limited ceiling height........

ive never grown with fluros but a general rule with lights is 1 gram per 1watt. being your first grow getting half that is a good achievment. but other factors need to be taken into consideration like strain, Co2 etc. keep in mind that adding a 600watt is going to give off alot more heat so as long as you have good venting and air circulation you should be right. Your girls are going to drink more with the extra light so make sure you check the soil more often. with the other lights i would use them as side lighting for that extra yield.

good luck mate hope this helps
