I've been using 1000W lights to grow pot since '82 so do have a clue.

Everyone must have forgot that before LEDs really came out, people were putting more than 2k in their 4x4 and 5x5s. Pulling massive 2+ yeilds, with bulky 8-10 inch exhaust systems.

Now its all about dimming a $600 LED to 50% in the name of efficiency, and I don't see many huge canopies full of big of colas stuffing the tents like that anymore...
