2x2x4 Tent LED 3500K Light Recommendations

I kind of want to get a small tent to put in my bedroom closet through the winter. I don't want to spend much so I was going to get a Vivosun tent and 4" fan kit. What I'm looking at now is LEDs. I have two ONEO LED Grow Light 1000W Full Spectrum Sunlight 3500K White and Red 660nm grow lights in my other tent off of Amazon Canada. Is one of those too powerful or big to use in a 2x2x4 tent? What else could I go with in full spectrum for cheap? Is there like single bulbs I could buy that screw into a standard lightbulb ballast or something? I need it to be safe too, I'd perfer LEDs. Thanks. :)

These are on sale.on Amazon right now. They have Samsung Diodes and Meanwell drivers. Full spectrum, dimmable, and super cheap to run. No moving parts and they run silent. 30% off right now last I checked there were only a couple left. One will fill a 2x2 nicely! They'll be sold out within a couple hours if they aren't already. If they're gone, I'd go with any quantum board LED with Samsung Diodes. Bloom Plus and Spider Farmer are both pretty solid for budget LED's that have quality components.

250w HPS. Use a MH bulb 250w. It’s a good light! Cheaper than a LED
Cheaper to buy maybe, but not cheaper to run. And in a small space like that I wouldn't want a super hot MH causing unnecessary heat. Only 4ft tall tent, not much room in there. Quantum board LED's also are pretty much completely flat, so it'll save space too. MH would work for sure, but not the best option imo.

do you think I can use what I have though? Or would it be risky since I can't dim them?

Regardless of what light you get. HID lights are not only consistent, but they can be cheap to run as well. Let’s say you get a LED that pulls 250w off the wall. What’s the difference? Yes they are “flat” and save space, but as far as intensity... HID is the way to go. Unless you’re trying to spend around $500-1000 on a quality LED.

For a 2x2 space, a quantum board LED will only pull about 100w from the wall at full intensity. And for most vegging purposes you can run them at 50% so that'd only be 50w from the wall. A lot of these "budget" LED's use the same exact components as the name brands. Samsung diodes and Meanwell drivers. You can get a solid quantum board that'll bloom out a 2x2 area for under $100.

Think about the math. The least watts per square foot you want in your garden is 35w per square foot. With a 100w light, you’re getting about 25w per square foot realistically. You’ll have loose airy buds and you’ll have small yields. It’s facts. With a 250w HID, they don’t get terribly hot. Yes you might lose maybe a foot of grow space, but good enough for small grows. With 250w you’ll have around 62.5w per square foot in a 2x2 and it will not only increase your yields, but you’ll have better flower from it. It’s the OPs choice in the end, but I’m sure they want to smoke some quality buds.

You can't compare LED wattage to HPS/HID/MH wattage. Crank a 1000w HLG LED Quantum board in a 2x2 space and you'll be hitting and surpassing your PAR needs in every corner of the tent. Chunky ass buds all day. Most 1000w quantums pull about 130w from the wall at full strength. LED is the future bro, embrace it.

Realistically, do a side by side comparison. Led may be cheaper to run, but density, mass and everything from an HID will be better. Commercial growers still use HPS to this day.

Dude is still over here talking like its 10 years ago and you can't grow absolute DANK buds with LEDs. Lolololol.
I know you can. But I’m being realistic. You can get quality buds off an LED. But to get a QUALITY light is going to cost you more than $100. Yeah you can get cheap china products that say “100/200w power draw” but when you actually test, turns out they’re a lot less than what is stated. Yeah go cheap by all means. If it’s what you can afford, do it.

I’m also talking about cost wise. I spent around $150 after tax and shipping for my light. In 50 days my plant looks like this, In a 4x4 tent. You can spend $100 on a light and then you’ll need to buy more lights to fill your space if you decide to upgrade. If you can show me a 100w LED that can bush a plant this much and have less than 1 inch node spacing then I’ll probably change my mind. But I don’t think for the $50-100 you spend on a cheap amazon light, you’ll get anything like this. I’m not knocking LED. They’re more efficient and cheaper to run..
