Yeah I had a clone of Isis but I decided just to keep the Athena clone in the end. Nothing happening with the MRS experiment so far. I've reapplied cloning powder several times now but no roots. But no die-back either. Just nothing happening. The plant is really healthy though and continues to grow fast so I'll let it ride indefinitely and see what happens.

Bro, I had to get a picture for you before the lights came on just a few minutes ago. Check out how luxurious looking her leaves are - she's a beauty:

And I started laying a towel over Athena during lights out to flatten her out:

Wow she is really getting huge....Nice job and I like the towel LST method, very creative. Keep me posted on your MRS I really want to see what happens with that. Have a safe trip bro!

Tao you say its a lazy way of LSTing, I think you should stop under cutting yourself cause you are a smart and well educated grower. Not lazy!!! You taught me so much and you continue to research and develope means of growing outside the traditional box of growing, if that made sense....LOL I been smoking my Chocolope so I am wasted bro! LOL

I think its very smart that you did that cause we both know how Athena gets if not tied down...LOL She can take over the whole tent in a matter of two weeks.

I'm back home and the plants did good while gone... But I just decided to remove MD2 (Aphrodite). She's just too small compared to the others.
My camera batteries gave out after just a few pictures but at least I got them all:

I took the Snow White out of the tent to change their positions around and got a fuzzy picture... I'll get more batteries and better pictures tomorrow.

Oh and I also took cuttings from both MD1 and Snow White AND I also forgot to mention before I left that I topped Minerva (MD1).

Only did that to the Athena clone since she's a super lanky/fast grower but yeah that's pretty much it. I sort of gently bent the tallest branches outwards first, laid a light t-shirt on top of her carefully, then I put on another t-shirt to weigh it down more. Did that for a few nights and so far it seems to have done the job of opening her up some and giving the younger growth a chance to start filling in the spaces.

hey bro what happened with your crazy experiment im hella imnterested as me and a friend were discussin this very topic a couple days ago cause we figured if you could get it to root you could scrog it and it would be hella beast cause more roots = more bud cause of such rapid development

I'll get a picture or two of that as well tomorrow. But there has been no rooting of the meristem ends as of yet... no further die-back of the tips either. However, I took G.O.D.s idea and put it into practice: I took one of the meristems and have it going under the lid for a short distance before rising back up above the lid ("U" shaped) - hoping the short section under the lid will have a greater likelihood of rooting if it has a healthy meristem tip to support. I'll photo update it - just need batteries tomorrow for the camera.

If you want a higher chance of a branch rooting, put a cut in it, or several with a razor blade, and then put some rooting hormone on it. Something similar to air layering to jump start the rooting process.

Yeah I treated the meristem tips just like cuttings - did the whole scarify and apply rooting hormone thing initially and I've been reapplying rooting powder about every 5-7 days.

I think the 'buried' meristem tips have completely stopped growing and aren't really meristem tips as far as the plant is concerned... just nothing going on with them. But hopefully the meristem that is layered underneath the lid and back up again will be more apt to produce adventitious roots off the buried section?

Ok I was lazy today and didn't get batteries so no pics... but tomorrow fo sho.

Just wanted to update that I'm reasonably certain the Snow White is a male, which is cool. But I really wanted to see a crystally Snow White in flower. lol Ah well, I'll leave him/her in there for a few more days until I can tell for certain. But if it's a he I'll take a couple of more cuttings and cull him out. I also have a cutting I took earlier from him to save... After this grow is finished I'll flower some clones to get some cross seeds with MD and Athena.

I really do like MD, she's quite different from Athena. What would you think about MD crossed with Snow White by the way?

Yes please do it, also Athena too. That would be great!!! How tall are all the plants now at the start of Flowering? I think MD likes to stretch, Both of mine are stretching crazy.

Peace Bro.

I'll get a measure when the lights come on (height) in about 30 min. And yup, the stretch is starting. About 6 colas pushed up past some of those big fan just in the past few days on MD. The Snow White is just starting to bust it out as well and looks awesome... Speaking of lights on in 30 min - going to post some pictures of the MRS experiment real quick so I can have that done before I play with the tent plants.
