3-4 year old hydro nutrients, still good?

I'm hoping to get my first grow underway soon. I have a bottle of G.H. Floralicious Grow and G.H. FloraNova (7-4-10). The first bottle doesn't say what N-P-K it is, but it's obviously for hydro plants during veg. The FloraNova stuff specifically says on back that it's intended for hydro OR soil use, but the Floralicious Grow says nothing about the matter and (I think) seems to be only for hydroponic feeding, but I might be wrong.

I plan to use soil so I should be fine with the FloraNova, but this stuff was bought 3-4 years ago and simply never used -- thrown in the garage, where it's sat for most of that time.

Can anyone tell me, are 3-4 year old hydro nutrients still good, or should I probably buy some new nutes for my plants? I'll probably try them out unless anyone thinks/knows that to be a bad idea?

Hard to say for sure. I'd bet that the company won't back a product that's sat in a garage that long, but if it hasn't been opened it might still be okay. Unfortunately it's not like people food where you can tell pretty quick if its gone off.

The question is really whether it's worth it to you to spend some money to guarantee the nutes are good.

Personally, I'd dish out the cash. I'd rather waste cash than plants. If you want something simple and good quality, I recommend Sensi 2-part and Big Bud. Can't go wrong with that.
