3 Compassion Clubs RAIDED!!

Along those same lines.... the front lines. We have another possible ruling coming. It seems that law enforcement may just be wanting to challenge hash and other preparations like cannabis oil as not being covered by the Act. In a VERY recent statement by an MDCH spokesman, he said that the Act only covers 'regular' marijuana and the courts will decide on things like hashish. One of these raids involved hash.

Brand new to this. I haven't smoked in over 25 years, but need to now due to illness-my doctor suggested it.

I was thinking about going to a compassion club until my own is ready. Now, I believe, that may not be such a good idea with the clubs getting busted.

Is it safe to go to clubs? When these busts happened did the police go to patients homes? I don't want them busting down my door. I really don't know what to do. Is it safe?

Its safe if you are following the law. Its not safe if you trying to or are breaking the law.

Certain places get busted for their actions.

End thread.

where does your info come from? because hash and oil are covered in our law.

(j) "Usable marihuana" means the dried leaves and flowers of the marihuana plant, and any mixture or preparation thereof, but does not include the seeds, stalks, and roots of the plant.

The litigation that follows this event will help to better shape the Michigan law for medical marihuana. It will be a good thing, and it's good to hear they were able to open and start helping patients again.

You ask where I get my information. I have a lot of sources. Mostly constantly digging for information and listening, watching. I knew about the raid first because of a phone call. This information about hash I found on MDCH's facebook page;

From MDCH's Facebook page:

"It's unclear whether hashish is legal under the state medical marijuana law, a Michigan Department of Community Health spokesman said."
333.26423 Definitions.
3.
Definitions.
Sec. 3.
As used in this act:

(j) "Usable marihuana" means the dried leaves and flowers of the
marihuana plant, and any mixture or preparation thereof, but does not
include the seeds, stalks, and roots of the plant.

Response:
Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH)
Hello. I'm James McCurtis, spokesman for the MDCH. The reporter with the Free Press got it wrong. I told him the marijuana law is only for marijuana. The law does not allow any alternatives, synthetics or substitutes. It's only for marijuana. The law is very clear.

Response:
Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) James McCurtis again. In terms of the interpretation of the Medical Marijuana Act, MDCH is going to leave it up to the court system. It appears that the law is talking about regular marijuana. I'm sure an attorney can argue otherwise. Either way, our task is to issue cards to those who qualify. Beyond that, we will leave it up to the court system and the Legislature to clarify.

If you have watched and listened to this McCurtis cat you know he is giving out a hint that this will be in court.

Regardless how anyone reads it. Hash and hash oil and tinctures ARE covered in the law and it is not in a gray area it is clear black and white.
