Sup y'all. So being that it's my first grow I'm not looking for anything crazy big but I do want good yields from my plants ofc.

Anyways I transplanted them (3 plants) the 24th into 3 gal (final pot). I wish I could go bigger but going bigger means more $$ for soil and pots. And I already need another tent asap. But that's all for my 2nd grow.

I'm currently on my 3rd week of veg as of today, planted from seed nov. 15th sooo a month. I've been using 10 cfls for veg and 400w hps for flower. How long should I veg them in these conditions? I believe I have preflowers so it's all up to me at this point. I just don't want them getting too root bound by the end ya know.

Also, I've had to upsize (barely) to my wardrobe. Is 3ft L x 1ft 8in W x 3ft H big enough to flower?? I know I'll be pushing it (I can raise the shelf another foot up.) IMG_4929.JPGIMG_4921.JPG

I'd say absolute minimum a week in dire circumstances, preferred minimum two weeks.
To fill out a fat root ball, go more like 4-8 weeks veg.
However you have a small flower space, and will be overgrown before long!
Your limiting factor there is flower room space. You wont get close to rootbound as you feared, I reckon.

If you aren't waiting for flowering plants to exit the flower space, I'd go with 2 weeks of post-transplant veg.

Yea I was worried about the flowering stage.. would a 2x2x4 tent work or should I go 4x4? They're on offer up for the low. If I can fit the 3 (flowering) in the 2x2 I would rather get that I'm just not sure.

If money is tight getting a 4x4 and a 600W HID might be cost-effective in the short term.

I'm gonna ride the cfls out till flowering. They're annoying af but they work. I'll have a mh for My 2nd grow. But I'll definitely get on that 4x4

Instead of getting mh get a hps or both most lights these days can use both 400w aint that expensive it would be better if u had a hps for flowering cfls would do for veg since that is the first stage and smallest
