The things I saw Sunday night / Monday all day... I can't even describe...
I will begin to explain what happened. First off, I had a bunch of tabs and none of my guy friends have the guts to try acid. These two girls said Sunday evening would be perfect to trip, since it was the last day of college shit before finals week, and none of them had anything to do on Monday. I got a phone call from a different girl and she invited me over to smoke a couple bowls of some really good weed supposedly called "green crack". Well, we matched each other bowl for bowl and smoked a couple bowls. She was telling me about boyfriend troubles and then looked at me and said "we should take acid!" I told her I already had two friends who I was supposed to trip with, and that she could come with if she wanted. She didn't like the idea of tripping with two girls she didn't know, especially college girls, so she took a tab of acid and I decided to wait on mine, because the other two girls wanted to take theirs with me. I left to go to the two girls' place carrying a bunch of hits of acid on me. I got there and we got to business. We each took 2 of the best ones I had. It was about 7 pm. It had to have been only a 30 minute ramp time before I was tripping balls. We formed a line with chairs in front of each other to give massages, and we imagined the person in front having a portal so that they could massage the person at the very back of the line. Anyway, we turned down the lights and turned on some music (I think it was Radiohead) and I started getting visuals out the ass! Besides the obvious warped and 'breathing' walls, the best way to describe some of my visuals were tapestries. A pulse of music would cause a giant tapestry to form in the darkness, with intricate designs and patterns filling in the gaps. The best way to describe the shapes would be ones similar to (and including) the ones you would find on a deck of playing cards hearts, clubs, spades, and diamonds. It was a black background and glowing hieroglyphic-like symbols. Imagine the outline of a tree shooting out of nowhere and branching out in all directions, with intricate patterns filling up the whole thing. Later on I went into the bathroom to look at myself in the mirror. I smiled and tried changing my reflection. Not only did it work, but I was able to change myself rapidly from one form to another. I had the biggest grin on my face as I transformed myself into a warrior, then into a guy with a bionic eye and futuristic armor, then an elven archer, then a guy with flaming hair, and then back to myself again, with a glowing face. Everything looked so fucking cool! I went back and we took another hit (the 3rd hit for each of us). The girls decided to take a shower, but I was too enthralled with everything else around me that I didn't even take the opportunity to join them until they were both naked and in the tub, and even then, I realized the tub was pretty small so not really much room for me. One of the girls even said she wished it was bigger. (Next time I'm going to borrow my friend's place to trip at - he has a kickass deck and hottub). They both showered and I chilled and talked with them while they did.
We spent a long-ass time in the bathroom. By the time we got out, like 5 hours had passed. Even though it was cold outside and storming, I told them we should go out on an adventure. One thing I noticed was how much one of the girls cared about her hair. It took her probably an hour or more to do her hair and figure out what to wear, even though we were just going outside in the rain. It was sooooo stupid. Even though it was just going to be us 3, and it was the middle of the night. We finally went out into the rain and started walking. We had two choices: walk towards campus or away from it and out into the wilderness. Needless to say, we went towards the wilderness. We paused and watched the rain and the stoplights. We were a little worried about cops, but we didn't have any trouble. Only the occasional car would pass by, and to them we were probably just crazy people. That's one of the great things about tripping... you can act very sober and talk normally around other people (aside from losing your thought from time to time). We walked across this field towards this forest, and the ground was all squishy and sludgy. But it felt great and she was happy. We walked across this ditch and one of the girls accidently stepped in the water. It was really cold, and she was surprised but said it felt so good to get her feet wet just then! We walked across the field and stared up at the bare trees and the storm and felt the rain fall all around us. The tall trees seemed to all have a character of their own, twisted and gnarly. The tall, thick, evergreens looked really comforting. The edge of the forest was so thick that I assumed there was a physical fence blocking us off. We walked around the place and found a way through the evergreen trees and onto another field. It turned out that we were in a horticultural park with special trees here and there, with plenty of room to walk and fields. Everything felt so surreal! We saw this shelter in the distance that we had never seen before, and we ran to it and sat on a dry bench under the overhang. We watched and listened to the rain pour all around us and listened to the sounds. The sounds were incredible and while we were relaxing there and figuring out what to do next, a gutter started overflowing and a bunch of water flowed down and made this really cool noise. After awhile, we decided to go venture out into the storm again. We saw this giant outdoor decorated christmas tree with lights on it, and I realized we were near some church. I explained to the girls how they bulldozed a nearby field and some forest and paved a giant church over it. So sickening. We ran back a different way we came, and we came across an open field with really really really tall hedges and just as they were going to go around them, I noticed there were tunnels underneath them. It felt SO COOL AND MAGICAL as if we were in a wonderland. The clouds in the distance and the rain felt so otherworldly (it's hard to explain in words). We ran back to their apartment.
When we got inside, we took off our socks and shoes. One of the girls was wearing these uggs (LOL) and I'm pretty sure they got dirty as hell, but not ruined. Anyway, I didn't know what to do with my old and dirty socks, so the girls told me to throw them away. I did exactly that, and they got me a new pair that they had recently gotten from the store. They were girls socks and kinda small, but they did the trick. we decided to have a little sensory deprivation experiment. We turned off all the lights in the apartment and locked ourselves in the bathroom and turned off all the lights. We let our eyes adjust to the dark, but there was no source of light anywhere - only pitch black. We felt our way around the place and everything felt... interesting. Then the girls got the bright idea to take another bath - in the complete darkness. They knew the place better than me and knew where everything was, so it was relatively safe, I guess. Either way, I chilled next to them while they got in, and we made noises with the water. I still felt my inhibitions and did not undress, even though they were both completely naked.
After they got dressed and dried off, we snacked on some stuff, and then realized we were hungry. The sad part was, the only place open on a Sunday night / Monday morning at 5:30am was McDonalds. Even though I was still tripping pretty hard, I felt really sober and we agreed it was worth the risk, so we went outside and started up my car. I let them smoke cigarettes in my car while we warmed it up, because it was so cold. The roads were bad, there was low visibility, and I was still tripping hard off three hits of acid. So I drove slowly. I was really low on gas, and stopped by a gas station. It took me quite awhile to figure out the atm debit shit, but I filled it up completely. Then we went to McDonalds drive thru. I pulled up and instead of ordering, I asked if the regular walk-in area was open, and he said yes. I replied with "okay thanks, I'll just go around the corner" which was pretty stupid to say, but anyway, I went and parked and we went into the store. The first thing I noticed was the shape of all the people that were working the morning shift. I want to note that, as a broke-ass college kid still trying to figure out what to do with his life, I frequently find myself also working shitty service-sector jobs and am thus usually very non-judgemental about people working shitty jobs, such as fast food. Well, every, yes every employee in the store at that time was not only morbidly obese, but resembled a potato. The shapes of their heads were really funky, and the way they walked made me think of the motto "you are what you eat". Either way, they were very polite and they even substituted sausage with hashbrowns for me and one of the other girls, as well as giving me a discount. We went to sit down and eat our breakfast when some customer walked by singing some song on his headphones. It sounded really really weird, and me and my friends looked at each other and laughed our asses off. For some reason I thought the guy was some foreign kid speaking some weird language on his phone (and not singing). I exclaimed to the girls how I didn't realize how different other cultures from our own could be. They laughed even harder and told me that the guy was just meowing to a song I played with one of the pancakes. It felt so weird and floppy and flexible. One of my friends said "Are you going to eat it, or just sit around playing with it all day?" I calmly replied with "That's what she said." At the time, all three of us agreed it was the best "that's what she said" joke in the entire universe. We finished our food and and went back to the apartment.
After we got back, we decided to lay out and turn off all the lights and play some music. I saw a shitload of stuff, but then eventually I listened to a song that made me want to cry (out of happiness and sadness at the same time) and I started to cry and I nodded to them and walked to the bathroom and cried my eyes out over the toilet. I must have cried for like 15-30 minutes, because eventually they came in to check on me and they brought one of their laptops with music into the bathroom and closed the door and set the laptop up on the sink. One of the girls was more resistant to the stuff, and she looked at the visuals on the mp3 player. I looked at it for a little bit, but it seemed so bland compared to the visuals I could see in the darkness. I blew my nose and then just sat in silence with them and took in the music. I felt a range of really deep emotions. It felt really good to purge some of the sad ones and get them out of my system. I felt very close to these two females in our psychedelic experience, even though I had only really known them for a few weeks. We stayed there for awhile, and then eventually went outside into the main room and hung out there for longer.
The main room has a hard floor, and we decided to go to the bedroom and all snuggle on one of the girls' beds. There wasn't much room so, again, we formed sort of a |= formation (The | was me and the = was the two girls). I was at the foot of the bed and rested on a body pillow on top of their feet / legs. There was a vacant bed, but we decided we all wanted to be on the same bed. One of the girls (the one who was really resistant to the acid) was really tired and actually fell asleep. Her best friend (the other girl) lay with her in bed and tried to sleep (I knew she wouldn't be able to). I moved over onto another vacant bed where I could lay out and think about things, but by now it was snowing and starting to get light out, so I went back and forth between the main room and the bedroom, debating where to go. I eventually whispered to the girl that was still awake that I was going to leave. She said something like "Are you sure? You can stay..." and I nodded and said I'd be fine. I went out into the main room and began to gather my belongings that I had scattered around. I could not find my outer jacket though, but as I was looking around I found one of their other roommate's sketchbooks, and I decided to write down some thoughts on it. I turned it to some obscure page near the back and began to write something like "Even if this page never gets read, I want to say that the search for the essence that lies behind the infinite beauty in this world..." or something like that (I don't remember). Then I started drawing whatever I felt like. It started out as a doodle, then expanded into a wide array of intricate designs and tubes and patterns and people, elves feet, shapes, 3D blocks, cut-aways, spirals, blocks upon blocks upon blocks, and many more things. I inserted some comments every here-and-there and then flipped the page over and draw a whole other page full of stuff, this time with no words or comments. I signed very tiny and wrote the date, and then wrote an apology for writing in her sketchbook. I sat in various chairs in the main room and thought about stuff and watched visuals. By now it was like 11:30am. The third roommate (the one who didn't take acid) came out of the bedroom and sleepily sat down near me. I cheerfully talked to her about a whole lot of things, and she showed me some of her art and I showed her the stuff I drew. She told me I should consider becoming an artist. I explained that although I have a creative side, it had been years since I had really taken a lot of time to draw or work on artwork. We talked a long time more and eventually one of the other girls (the one who tripped hard like me and couldn't sleep) came out of the room to chill with us. It was awhile before the other one woke up, but she did eventually. When she came out, I realized her trip was completely over, while I was still getting visuals and altered thought.
We hung out awhile later, and then my friend called me up and wanted to go to lunch / dinner. He is more of the assertive / demanding friend, and he ended up driving around trying to figure out which apartment I was at. I poked my head out apartment door and he saw me and drove up and basically invited himself inside. I introduced everyone to each other and he told me how he had a shitty day and wanted to know if I had weed. He was guilt tripping me, and everyone knew it. Anyway, when I told him I didn't have any, he said I let him down. It was weird, but anyway. We chilled around, listened to music, then went out to eat at this mexican place (we were really spoiling ourselves that day), and my friend drove. I noticed this painting on the wall of some mexican farmers collecting maize (corn) in baskets or something, and I realized I was still getting visuals. We went to this convenience shop to get fountain drinks and candy and cigarettes. We went back to the apartment and played a board game, then my friend kept trying to convince me to go back to my house and get what little weed I had so we could smoke it. He doesn't take no for an answer, it's so stupid. Anyway, I diverted his answer and he ended up getting restless and leaving. (We were all in a chilling-out mood and he always has to be entertained) Me and the girls went out to run some errands, which included me dropping off a couple adderalls to a different friend who needed to study hardcore for some finals, having some girls go to an atm to pick up money, and going to this dude for weed. By the way, the girls ended up paying $40 for 2 grams of weed. What a fucking ripoff. Had I known the ludacris market for college weed, I would have stocked up on some good $50 / 8th shit and hooked them up. Either way, we smoked a couple bowls and then went out to eat at this really nice dining court. By now it was nighttime, like 8:30 pm. One of the girls used her meal plan to pay for my meal. I live off-campus and am thus not subject to getting to eat the fancy-ass buffets they have on campus very often, so this was a special treat. I went inside and it was decorated for the holidays, with a christmas tree with lights and a bunch of other decorations. The best way I can describe this place was a just-as-magical-yet-realistic version of Hogwarts from Harry Potter (without the floating candles though). The food was soooo delisious, and I realized how fancy and nice the place was. The 3 girls had brought a 4th one along and the five of us sat down and ate. I realized that the 4th girl (who was really good friends with one of the girls who tripped with me) was very much against acid. I think she acted disappointed when she found out we all took it, and even moreso when she realized I supplied them with it. I was like the corruptor. Anyway, she explained that she would much rather have them drink alcohol all the time rather than take LSD ever, and that there was nothing that could change her mind. I jokingly said "if you want me to, should I cut those two girls off from ever getting it again?" The two girls who tripped were like "No, don't do that!" (I'm basically their only hookup and the only person they've ever known with access to acid). I dropped the subject and refused to promise anything. We left and went back to their apartment and, after getting a sudden sense of tiredness, decided to leave. The other girls went to bed too and I went home and slept for about 15 hours. The end.
P.S. My overly assertive friend ended up texting me that he got an ounce of weed later that night. Looks like it'll be his turn to hook me up for the next little while!
