3(ish) weeks of flower, how's it look?

Yes, that's right, another one of those threads :). I haven't posted updated pics in forever and I don't have a journal, plus I had a few questions so I figured I'd throw some up. I have the galaxy sun select ballast and a 4x2 foot tent, growing in fox farms ocean forest and perlite. Running roots organics line by aurora nutes.

First plant started showing pistils around august 3rd, and within a few days I could tell they all were female. I'm worried about how long its going to take to flower BC I had pH problems the first couple weeks and the tops got really yellow, and the pistils developed really slowly. There are 9 indicas and 1 hybrid, so flowering shouldn't be too long but my hybrid (older and more mature anyways) seems to be the most developed. That's the hybrid (top right two pics), its a little stretched but I just hope the colas fill out.

The rest seem to be doing really well now that I've cleaned up my pH problems. Treating with heavy cal mag has also helped nurse them back to health (had to veer from organics and buy water soluble cal mag). The plants look great; the buds are still mostly just white pistils but the sugar leaves are already getting frosty. Its been like 22 days since they first started flowering and my buds dont look near as formed as I would llike them to be now (based off of other pics I've seen around the same week in flower)
IMG_20130829_095810.jpgIMG_20130829_095858.jpgIMG_20130829_095950.jpgIMG_20130829_095858.jpgIMG_20130829_095718.jpgIMG_20130829_095718.jpgIMG_20130829_095758.jpgIMG_20130829_095758.jpgIMG_20130829_100140.jpg

Sorry about the doubles. I think it takes a second for the dea to copy everything as the pics get uploaded. Any who, so does my crop still have the potential to be some really nice dank? Think the colas will fill out? I just worry about getting nanners later on, 1) BC they are all older than they look anyways, and 2) they are about a week or so behind already from the pH problems i was having.

As always, thanks in advance and any feedback is appreciated. Sorry about the pics, I know the quality sucks.

Thanks man, and yeah dude if you don't have a nice setup I highly recommend trying to save up and buying a tent, a nice ballast and bulb (and hood) and a decent fan. I threw away gobs of money constantly changing my setup, trying to fix this problem or that one. I finally quit fucking around and got a 400/600/1000w (+turbo charged, 1100w but i havent used it yet) ballast and with a nice fan, and a tent to control the environment its made a world of difference.
BTW, out of the 10 I have in the tent, 8 are bag seed and two are from attitudes: g-13 labs white widow and hso Bubba kush. Honestly, I'm not impressed with them compared to the bag seed I got from my buddy (he's been growing for years, keeping good genetics). The Bubba kush looks alright, I thought it was gonna be the best at first.

But I have some blue dream, sour diesel #2, and critical super silver haze germinating for my next run. I plan on setting ypna desperate veg room and running clones with them...maybe get a bigger tent and go for a vert setup and try and increase my yield. I'm really hoping for a half pound off of this one.

And thanks a lot Danny and lospsi. I had all kinds of problems from the beginning when it was 2 bag seed, 2 Dixie cups and a window sill. One of those two hermied up (sitting right in front of intake, cold air that comes from an ac unit) so I had to get him out of there. But yeah, I've had problems but ran a lot of expirements early on, and read read read like crazy and so I've been able to keep any of my problems from ruining the crop. But the problems have cmost me a lot of time. Every time they got sick they basically quit growing, lol. But as long as I can finish up without any more problems I should be alright.

Think those colas will fill out in the next 5 weeks?

Looking great Thor nice job mate. Looks like u've found the sweet spot with your setup. I wouldn't worry about it those babies will start to swell very soon :)

Awesome man, thank god. It makes me feel better to hear someone else saying it, lol. The node spacing has always been nice and tight on them, and I've cleaned out the bottom (defoliated) and removed a lot of stuff that was way out of the light, so the tops get it all (left a few plants alone to see how they do with sucker branches).

But I see these pics at 4 weeks, and most have nice full colas already. I know they'll be dank (hoping for a nice cure, too) BC the leaves are already getting frosty, I just hope the size is there.

Looking really good. Leaves look like they are being well looked after, I had a hash bomb on my last grow they lapped the cal mag right up, I wouldnt worry about earlier problems you sorted it well and the hard work looks like it paying off now!

I agree, they're behind in growth. Closer to entering week 5 according to above. Stunted from the issues earlier on, but they appear to be ok now. Try not to mess with them too much.

Looks great! Your grow is about at the same point as mine. How many colas do you think you'll have?

Yeah, I know what you mean. When I started the thread it was the 29th, most started showing pistils on the 6th so it had been 23 days, so 3 weeks and 2 days. Plus they were all mostly just calyxes with 2 pistils all over up until like the 15th, so yeah they're definitely behind. Out of the 24-25 days they've been flowering, they've only had like 10 days of solid growth.

Don't nanners form from being in flower too long? Already had to tale 1 Hermie outside, the rest look fine but it would suck to get seeds.

Haha, yeah i always wonder what takes pics so long to load up, I always wind up posting doubles.

And yeah, I've been staying on the 5 mil program and loving it. I've been thinking of starting a hydro setup and so I'd have to pick out a different nute line, but so far that 5 mil program is working great, but the "elemental" (its their powdered, organic cal mag) wasn't fast enough to fix the deficiency. Next grow I might try just the "roots feeding schedule", which uses a couple less of their products but higher concentrations. See if I notice much of a difference.

And @ kroost, lemme see here. I have 2 decent sized plants, both with 4 tops and two branches (that are canopy level and act like tops, at least on one plant). So I have like 10 on those, the hybrid has about 10-15, not sure how many will fill out (the plant had two tops that were tied down, so all the tops are branches pointing up). Then I have another plant with 4 tops, a small plant with one top that I just let grow to see what they look like when you leave them alone. The Bubba kush has 3 main tops, but those are tied down so it has some smaller ones coming up. My white widow has like 5 or 6 tops that are really small but have crazy dense node spacing. The plant that hermied was tied down horizontally early on so it has a bunch of tops... I'd say probably somewhere around 30 nice solid colas, possibly 40 or more depending on how many of them fill out.
Now that I've gone back and counted, I actually only have 7 plants flowering. I have an og kush that's vegging (it already has like 14 tops, thanks to a nice fim job at the 5th node), and 2 plants I pulled early on and took outside, and luckily those were the only two mails I had:
IMG_20130822_163009.jpgIMG_20130822_162957.jpg

Here's some pics of the widow I took, it didn't get defoliated so its kind of hard to tell whats going on with it. It started out with the duck foot gene and was really susceptible to topping:

Here you can see the stalk down the middle, where the tops seperate:

I'm gonna try and get a better camera and get better pictures. I spread the Bubba kush out yesterday so I need to get over there and see how he has filled out, he was super cramped.

I've seen a LOT of hermies lately. I think it's the hot temps of summer that's stressing most of them, but that's just my guess. Anyway, keep at it and try to make only small adjustments from this point forward. You're getting into the home stretch and you want to takes these babies all the way to harvest!

Yeah, luckily mine did it early on so I was able to get it out before any damage was done. It basically started showing male preflowers the exact same time as the female ones started.

I know what you mean about the summer heat I don't know how anybody could grow in this weather without some type of source of cold air. I have an intake running from an air conditioner that's sitting in a window, I can run my ballast at 1000w and not get over 77 degrees. The problem tho, is that I had the intake coming in through one of the lower ports, since the hottest temperature is under the hood. The cold air was blowing right on Larry, the plant that hermied, and I'm pretty sure that's what did it since he was the only one.

He found a nice home outside, tho. I put him in a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with some ffof. After all he'd been through, he really was a great looking plant. I tied him down early on but somewhere along the line he got stood back up, kind of leaning at an angle with all of his branches on one side. It worked great for light Penetration, and he is one of the biggest where he was the first. Even if he has seeds, he's liable to have 2 or maybe even 3o's on him, and I'm interested to see what it'll look like quality wise.

Aurora Innovations has the same pack for Hydro, just not organic. It's called the Player Pack.

Few more pics. Here's one of the smaller plants, it has four tops and its in the corner. Some bag seed from a buddy who's been growing outdoor for a while. It isn't huge but it should at least have 4 decent colas:
IMG_20130830_202206.jpgIMG_20130830_202226.jpg

Here's some of the hso Bubba kush. It has two tops that have been tied down, I recently tied them a little lower to try and open it, which it helped but its still really full. This plant is bushy as hell, and looked like it was going to be the dankest throughout the whole grow. Always looked healthy, never had problems.
IMG_20130830_184241.jpgHere's his branches, I left some on the bottom below the tops. One of them stayed as big as the top.
IMG_20130830_184319.jpgHe might still be the dankest, he's just a liiiiittle behind the rest, so its still hard to tell.

And while I had the back of my tent opened, I noticed my biggest cola on my big plant in the scrog screen (the plant stretched way through the screen, I know its low. I have a trellis net instill considering using over everything in the tent). Anyways, if all the buds grow together then its going to be like 16 inches long. Its one of the actual tops on the first plant that I topped once and tied downIMG_20130830_184130.jpgIMG_20130830_184121.jpgIMG_20130830_184114.jpg

Again, sorry I know the pictures suck. The back of the tent is cramped anyways, but I might build some shelves and if I do I'll be moving them all and getting better pics.
