Is it worth the work for only 3 plants worth of trimmings? I figure a couple oz's per plant of bud. thanks.

Can't really lose anything...got the bubble bags? Anything that comes out of it would be a gain compared to throwing the leaves out 
. Plus it's way better hash than most the stuff you find on the street, I'd definitively go for it, and no waste!

I usually make cannabis oil when I harvest only a few plants. Take the trimmings and put them in a slow cooker on high and cover (just barely) with vegetable oil and let cook for about 5 hours. Then strain and store. Great for making brownies and cookies! P.S. this site is cool as hell, I wish somebody told me about it earlier!

This being my first harvest coming up, I have never made hash before. Whats the easiest way for a dummy first timer? How are the bubble bags? Thanks for the info guys.

In my hiumble opinion, using bubble bags and ice water are too much of a hassle for three plants.
I would use 1, silk screen, and filter it onto a mirror, or 2, a grinder/kief extractor, or 3, a DIY screen.
I saw a dude on here stretch some panty hose over the end of a Pringles Potato chip tube, put his buds and trim leaves in it and shake the kief out through the panty hose, and it worked well.
I use a WICCA KIEF box, myself, and I love it, it 's verye asy to extract the kief and then bake it in a clump.

This is a WICCA Kief box, the very best one on the market. There is one slightly larger and one slightly smaller, and oyu'll need one to make HIGH GRADE blone Lebonese or Blonde Afganey Hash. You can buy them at a "head shop" or "smoke shop" or "herbal accessories" store or order them off the internet. OR get a GRINDER Box or Spaceship Box. They make low green or brown grade hash.
Left over fan leaves make OIL. The left over trim leaves are for making HASH.
Those CRYSTALS, (slang term) on the leaves are called trichomes, while they are still on the leaves. In Europe, they call them resin glands. AFTER you remove them, they are called KIEF.
After you bake them, into a lump or chunk or cake, they are called HASH. That is where the HEADY HIGH THC is.
Most people make HASH a difficult way, called Bubble Hash with ICE and Ice water. If you google HASH, youtube, you can watch 300 videos on how to make hash. The most difficult way is BUBBLE hash with ice water. I use a strainer, or filter or screen, that is in my kief box, to remove them.
MUCH EASIER FOR ME!. Get a kief box or a permanent metal coffee filter and I'll help you. It is easy the way I do it!
