Hey everyone.
These are my plants. The seedlings in the left (in black pots) are almost 30 days old. The on the left bottom is Purple Kush Auto.It seems to be stuck at this since 2 1/2 weeks. The one next to it is another super sour OG that I germed same time with the one in top left black pot. Is it because I transplanted them in a gallon pot instead of gradually increasing pot size or what? The lights are 2 x 130 actual watts LEDs 20" above. The temp stays at 85.
The plants on the left are Farm Cheese from Barney's Farm. the bushy one in the bottom right is the mother of the clones, 45 days old and so very healthy. The other cheese i germed died or stayed tiny.

Soil is 35% sand, 25% leaf compost, 20% sphagnum peat, 20% coco coir with a spoonful of fish meal thoroughly mixed. The mixture is very light and crumbles in hand.
I feed Vitafeed soluble fertilizer Leaf Growth every 4th day (half strength) and a fish meal/molasses/leaf compost tea, once a week.
Why only 2 plants are taking off while others aren't doing much? The clone from the robust plants seems to be doing ok.

The have a 2 x Cree cxa 2530, 3000K (at 23W each) panel too which I was planning to hang in tonight.
I also have a single big DIY panel of 3x Cree CXA 2530, 3000K (at 23W each), 24 x 3W 6500K bridgelux leds, 3 x 100W plant spectrum COBs, (at 50W each) too. Was planning to hang it when i flower these.
No plant except the tall super sour OG showed any stretching so I thought light's good.

U spending more in bulbs and attachments and extension. Cords than if u go to amazon and get 400w hps. They are like 100 dollars. Been there done that, trust me u won't regret it afterwards, i bought a 600wt hps a year ago after been struggling with cfls for a while, u can veg good but they just won't flower right, plus if u stack up in cfls it gets hell of a hot, its easy for me to control the heat from ma 600w that what it was with ma 50 cfls. i will never go back, i only use my cfls for veg. Ma 2 cents, take it with a grain of salt if u want. GL

Have you ever grown out plants entirely in this soil mix you made?

I have grown plants out in just plain dirt. I would have gotten HPS if I knew I could control the heat. I have been running these LEDs to grow aquatic plants. I dont have access to much plant grow soils in here (I'm in Pakistan). I couldnt even even get my hands on vermiculite. That's why I chose to go with that mix. I think you guys might be right about it compacting. The soil has definitely gotten smaller in volume than when I first planted. But I don't have much options. I have kept the watering pH at 6.3-6.8. What can I do about the soil? I didnt want to use any manure compost and burn the plants.

The medium is not suitable for growing healthy dope plants and is the reason they are stunted and sick.

So what should I grow in? We dont get any fancy soil mixes here.
Would sphagnum peat/coco coir mixed with 20% leaf compost work?
Can I use only coco coir? Without any dwc or aeroponics stuff?

Use Happy Frog, Roots Organics Original or Ocean Forest. I have used them all and they all work great, Ocean Forest is a little hit so go light on the nutes the first few weeks of veg.

Try sphagnum peat/coco coir mixed with 25% perlite. It should be almost inert after a couple weeks then you use high quality hydro nutes, no extras or magic sauces.

I made a 30% perlite, 20% sand and 50% my current mix. But how do I transplant them? They would still have the same soil around their roots.
