Very nice bro :bigjoint:. And so fast I love aero so much. I just switched to a fogger system gonna see how it treats me next month. But diggin the accuracy on this log +rep to you buddy.bongsmilie and what kind of ph/ec/tds meter are you using?

I'm using a Nutradip Trimeter its pretty convenient it displays the PH, PPM and temperature of your resevoir.

fishindog: i was hoping to yield 3 pounds from this. i had people tell me to expect more and people tell me less, if i hit 3 i'll be happy.

KushRx: i've definately noticed that the roots want to get into the pump i keep pullin them up outa the resevoir and they keep falling back down the drain

GanjaGuyver: I was looking into the foggers before i bought this system if you do a journal be sure to leave a link i'd like to see how that goes, the technology makes sense to me i just haven't seen anyone else do it yet so i was reluctant to try since this is my first time growing.

MORE PICTURES SOON!!

BayArea, very nice looking grow.

I see you've realized already, but as I was reading your thread, I was looking at your PPMs and saying "WTF?" = those can go way, way up without even being close to burning/hurting your plants in the least.

What conversion factor is your PPM meter? Does it also measure EC, which is much more useful?

Yeah i did realize that, im at about 1100 ppm today, think im going to do a resevoir change soon and start feeding them the bloom nutes, about how high do you think they could go right now before it would start to harm the plants??? not sure what conversion factor the ppm meter is i know it measures the parts per million of the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the water. I heard the EC measurement is more useful but i didn't read that until after i had bought this meter already, but they do have a nutradip trimeter that reads EC instead of PPM-TDS just not my model.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a feed schedule to a similar set-up as mine??

I've been using (along with many others on this site) the Lucas Formula - you really can't get much simpler then that, in all honesty.

And what nutes are you using, and at what strength? Telling us that and what your PPMs are coming out at, should be pretty easy to reverse engineer what conversion your meter is.

I've been using the General Hydroponics Flora series: Flora Gro, Flora Bloom, and Flora Micro I've been using the "transition to flowering" suggested mixture currently which is 10ml per gallon Gro, 10ml Micro, 10ml Bloom my current PPM is hovering around 1400 but im overdue for a res change, fresh nutes, and maybe using the "flowering stage" formula of nutrients.

Also my PH has been stuck at about 5.2 also, in the beginning weeks of the grow 2.5ml PH+UP would send the resevoir PH skyrocketing more than 1.0 now I've been adding 10ml PH+UP and the resevoir PH only moves 0.2 is it safe to pour a larger amount in??? Im afraid of the PH spiking.. Aeroflo's have a 44 gallon resevoir if that helps at all...

I re-did my room a little bit, added more mylar higher up the walls, raised the lights up and changed the direction the lights were hanging so that there's a better light spread to all the plants, also I spread the tubes apart farther on the manueverable side of the system so that there would be a better light spread/penetration across the larger plants. The plants have been sucking down more than 10 gallons of water a day easily.

My current readings are:
PH: 5.3
PPM: 1400
Res temp: 69
Room temp: 74
RH: 59%

the PPM's have gotten as high as 1530 and the plants haven't shown any signs of over fertilization.. Also I haven't had Any CO2 running for the last few days.

Here are the pictures:

BUDS ARE BEGINNING TO FORM^^^^^

QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS ALL WELCOME!!!!

nice job. I'm going to be building a system very similar. how do you like it?
I like this system alot. aeroponics has an incredible growth rate im sure you'll be very happy. One suggestion if you plan on doing aeroponic tubes like these, try to find a way to put the sprayers on the top of the tube and not the bottom because the roots get so huge I imagine the sprayers would be completely covered otherwise.

Are all your plants in different stages yet running off the same reservoir? Is it difficult keeping the more mature plants satisfied with nutes with out burning the younger plants? Also do you notice different growth on any of them because of the different stages of nutreints?

If he is builing something he just needs to cut the holes higher up on the caps of the fence posts if he is using the 4 by 4 pvc. When I was running a system like this I had it at a slight slope with a drain at one end so that there would be no residual water. I am liking your grow still though! How many weeks into flowering are you??

I am only 19 days into 12/12, i will have more pictures soon buds are getting big already, half my plants fell over cuz they couldn't hold up the weight of the buds im going to be super busy today trying to get the plants to support they're own weight. WISH ME LUCK!

The smaller plants are only 7 days behind the larger ones, i just kept the big guys on a low solution for they're second and third week and after that i just went to a normal schedule and they are all doing fine, in the third week i did notice signs of nutrient deficiencies in the larger plants but i kicked up the nutrients and they all leveled out. the smaller of the plants can take just as much as the larger ones haven't had any problems since, my PPM's have gone as high as 1600 with only slight discoloring on the leaf tips no full on nutrient burn, i have been trying to keep them around 1400 PPM current ratio: 15ml bloom, 10ml micro, 5ml gro, 5ml PH+up per gallon

That sounds good. I am telling you though next time get net pots that have a lip on them its much easier to keep them straight up. What do you usually use to hold up the branches. I have found twine and floss works great

Ur first grow is going wonderful.

I'm sure next time you'll put all the clones in the setup at the same time. And i'm sure you'll flower sooner next time around. With that setup you'd want to flip to 12/12 by around week 3 or 4 from the clone cut date. Meaning if it takes 7-10 days to root well... just give them another 1-2 weeks of veg. time. No more than 12" inches tall. Also, you'd never want to fim or top or supercrop. The sites are so close together you'd just want to grow one main cola or shoot on each plant.

Looks like ur just using 2 lights for now, deffinitely sufficient over that setup. The best way to utilize that third light would be to get another 60 site aero table like the one you have and run the 3 lights over the two 'trays' of plants. If you want to keep ur plant numbers to 60 or less ... you could DIY (with some of the components you already have) a 'table' that is twice as long as the current one but with the same number of sites. This would allow you to veg. a bit longer. The problem (if you'd want to call it that) with these systems is that they choose ur grow style for you. They demand that you grow many plants and flower them early. With a second table you could just use every other 'port hole' for a plant... and run the same number of plants in a bigger footprint on two table instead of one.

pH wise i'd try to stay between 5.3 and 6.3 - i don't see any problems, ur plants look great ... but you could be locking out nutes and stalling growth at 5.0 pH.

Keep it up!! :leaf: :-P :leaf:

thank you dagambler!!! yes there is many things that i realized on this grow that i would not do again, i will definately SOG or SCROG on my next cycle, and i did plan on adding another table and light next time through. I also realized the importance of keeping the PH in order, when my PH was around 5 i let my PPM's get over 1600 and there was no nute burn, i recently stabilized my PH at 5.8 and saw my leaf tips curl around 1550 PPM currently im trying to stay around 1400 PPM.

So i had a pretty crazy week thats why its been a while since the last pictures. i recently had a few problems with my plants getting to big and falling over, im an idiot for not having them supported a long time ago, i guess i was putting it off because i thought the branches were thick enough to support the weight of the buds.... WRONG! not to worry though i wont make this mistake again. here are a few pictures of the damage:

So after my plants fell over i realized how lazy i was getting with my girls and i gave them a little bit of attention, i gave them all a haircut, i dunno if it was too late for that or not but they look better, there were too many small branches on the bottom that weren't gunna do anything so i cut them off.. Then i went to the hardware store and bought a bunch of 2x4's and medium load (13lb) twine. i screwed the 2x4's into the ceiling and ran the twine across to form a makeshift grid/trellis... lesson learned. anyways here's a few pictures of the plants after i propped them back up:

Current readings are:
PH: 5.8
PPM: 1380
Resevoir temp: 68
Room temp: 76
Canopy temp: 82
RH: 52%

SUGGESTIONS, QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, CRITICISM ALL WELCOME!!!

just realized i didn't put up the most recent pictures, these ones you can tell a little bit better what i did to correct the fallen plants:

you'll get some nice buds on ur first go, man.

if you get a chance check out GypsyBush's grow journal... he's growing with a similar setup. he switches them to flower almost immediately after the clones root.

but you did good removing that under-growth... and the support ur giving them is absolutely necessary. i get lazy with my girls sometimes too. ;-)
