3000w hps Aero Grow; 6 Banana Kush, 12 Northern Lights

Okay, this is going to be my fourth grow in my aero set up. I'm just gauging interest. Last grow I did 9 Northern Lights and pulled 4.5 lbs. This time I'm going to fill in the machine, 18 plants, I'll do 6 Banana Kush and 12 Northern Lights.

I'm betting this grow will be nice.

Okay, I just looked in on the clones, I've got at least 9 Northern Lights and 3 Banana Hush with roots poking through the Rapid Rooters. I'm thinking in the next few days there will be plenty of clones ready to go into the machine. I'm looking for 12 NL and 6 BK. That should give me an epic yield!

so you gunna keep a journal?

I'm thinking I will keep sort of an abbreviated journal. I've done extensive journals in the past and found them to be very time consuming, I don't really want to sit on the computer all day.

But if people are interested I'll put up the info you need to follow what is going on.

Okay, I finally put them in the system, the clones that is. I put 6 Banana Kush and 12 Northern Lights in the tubes. All 12 of the NL clones had good roots coming out of the rapid rooters, of the 6 BK only 2 had good roots coming out, the other 4 had root buds starting on the stems so I feel it's only a matter of time before they are rooted nicely. I normally clone right in the system, aero cloners work very nicely. But I was trying to cut down on my turn around time. I started these clones the day before I chopped my last grow, Monday was two weeks so they took a bit to get started, but we're cooking now!

I've only turned on one of the hps lamps, they are still very young and I'm leaving for the weekend and with the outdoor temps creeping up I didn't want to burn everything up while I am visiting my sweetie!

I added 100 ml of Advanced Sensi Grow A&B to the 25 gallon res, water out of the tap runs about 300 ppm, it reads 550 ppm so I'm at about 250 ppm for the start. I generally keep my nutes real low, rarely above 900 ppm. I'll leave it low until I get roots hitting the bottom of the 6" dia tubes, then work up slowly.

Am all ears... this sounds one good fkr grow

Oh yes, I forgot to mention the Super Thrive, I added two caps to the 25 gallon res.

sounds nice...how old are the clones? i usually have a nice root system by day 13...are you going to be posting pics?

Sorry, I was gone for a few days and without computer access.

The clones are now 3 weeks old and are showing good roots. I've put them in my system and it should only be a few more days before they all have good roots down into the water at the bottom of the tubes, then they will really take off.

I'm always concerned when I leave for the weekend, but this system does seem to take care of itself.

And yes, I plan to put up some pics soon.

Yup, it's an aero system, 2- 25 gallon res', a 2600 gph pump spraying all of the plants right on the roots.

yea sounds like you'l be able to leave her to do her own little thing, are you going to veg long

Not too long, I've only got about 60" head room under the lights so I've got to switch over to 12/12 when they are around 16" - 18" tall. Last grow I let them get to 24" before switching and that was way too much, I lost a good quantity to burn from the lights. I super=cropped like mad, but there just wasn't enough room.

yeah not much height room there and with all them watts you must have good air circulation

sounds good! can you post pics of your aero/hydro gardens, im currently in soil and i want to either go hyrdo or aero on my next harvest..looking for ideals any help would be sweeet.
