What LED is that? And why is it white?

I have a 300 watt vipar that does pretty well. 120 watt draw.Nice. I was referring to the cheap "300w" leds that are 140 actual watts for growing. That looks like a much more expensive setup
You got some beauties there! So when you say its 300w and draws 120.. What does that mean exactly? It's only producing 120w?I have a 300 watt vipar that does pretty well. 120 watt draw.

Meaning it's rated at 300 watts of all of the LEDs were driven at max capacity. Most Chinese panels are leveled like this. The actual draw of most Chinese panels is 40-60% of what they are being sold as. So mine is a "300 watt 60x5 watt led" but when I check the actual power draw it's only pulling 120 watts from the wall. You got some beauties there! So when you say its 300w and draws 120.. I thought they were being marketed as hps/mh equivalent? So a 300w led is supposed to be equivalent to a 300w hps/mh but at lower power draw.Meaning it's rated at 300 watts of all of the LEDs were driven at max capacity. No. Almost always it's if you take the number of diodes and multiply them by their max rated wattage capacity. So if you have 100 X 3 watt diodes that would be a 300 watt panel. Or my 60 X 5 watt led panel. Also a 300 watt panel. No one drives their diodes at 100%. Most Chinese panels 40-60% is safe to assume.I thought they were being marketed as hps/mh equivalent? I'd say both methods are known to work well and efficiently in their own ways. An LED setup of my sort was attractive for me due to the low power drainage your entire grow can have. If you consider this point plus the point that this is my first grow and it might not be done as soon as it could be (energy saving again) and that I've only got 3 plants under the 300w instead of what looked like an entire farm under yours, then of course the HPS will be more efficient on a huge canopy like yours. I'm optimistic about this working and if it does then the next go round will definitely not be taking place under just one 300w LED but maybe one 300w and one 600w. It's just the simplicity and the convenience of an LED not having any heat problems etc. that convinced me.Nice. I was referring to the cheap "300w" leds that are 140 actual watts for growing. First feeding is done with general hydroponics. Ive stopped watering them as much as i did before and the plants really do find a liking towards the more dry and warm climate in the grow area. Havent had any problems with drooping leaves etc. since the last time updated the thread about it and all three plants are drinking their water verry well and growth has started to speed up little by little. The result of the first topping was good, I've got some shutes popping up from the lower are of the plant toward to top of the canopy. Did a second topping today wich is probably going to be the last micro topping ill be giving them. Now I'm going to wait until the pots feel light and dry again so i can give them a transition feeding and switch the lightcycle to 12h/12h, until then I'll be letting them do their thing.I couldn't say, man. Too many factors. Just observe what it does. And don't overfeed. As soon as you start seeing the slightest sign of a tox, back off for a little.
Thanks man. Yeah I'm aware about that but as far as im concerned its minimal and therefor nothing major to worry about since the planta are standing like a fcking tank due to the thick stems theyve developed so far. The stretch is probably from where they were still under the small bulbs im guessing.Looking good dope! Stretching alil but look great! Here's mine one month from popping under 600watt viparView attachment 3698683Light turned off!
Thanks gixxa for sharing your grow with us. Not to be a dck or anything but this thread was designated toward my grow and was meant as a source for me to get in contact with some other growers so i can get a helping hand where i need it. I'd just like to prevent the thread filling up with more information about what other people are doing if you know what i mean. You are verry welcome to share your knowledge here to help me where you can, thanks for visiting my postings and happy growing.Mars 300 is currently running )
And soon it will be a side panel )
But I started with a 300....
Yeah I got trichones thick as thieves
Was just showing you what a newbie can do with mars products as mars gets bashed alot. Thanks gixxa for sharing your grow with us.
