They are in week 5 almost at week 6. Im hoping they fill out more though. I dont want them to flower longer than 10 weeks at the most. I will most likely flush for a week and a half to two weeks prior to harvest at the end of those 10 weeks

I ran around and talked with some ollllld growers.....they have ran every kind of LED in every medium.....they say "FUCK LEDS" Dont think they are wrong...

i call bullshit on you, old growers means people who have grown for a long time not some old guy who grows weed i use led and they smoke my hps i had 2 400w hps and now i rin 1 400w hps and and 3 90w led ufos and i buds are bigger fatter and more crystals than ever before not to mention i save huge on the power bill and no heat issues even at +35c no extra heat to speak of is created so dont come on here talking shit about leds if u have never used them thats not what this thread is for its to show u leds kick ass or suck ass wait for the results then open your mouth. till thenkiss-ass

This test is incredible! The OP is the best LED grower I've seen, while being one the worst HPS growers I've seen.
How'd you do that?
Try that 1000w vertical and see how it compares to your LED.
PS I've grown with both and HPS rules.

I've used HPS forever until this grow. The reason I started this grow is already stated at the beginning of this thread. It is simply a test. I never claimed to be some "amazing grower" but I do the best I can.
I'm not really sure what OP stands for, and I'm not sure what your question is referring to "how'd you do that?"

I am just amazed at how delicious these buds look. They are so iced over they look like sour patch kids. Its crazy cuz the buds are lime green and the hairs are white and neon orange.
Almost all the hairs on the LED plants have changed to this bright orange and usually I take that as a sign that the buds are close to maturity. All my ladies under the HPS have no red hairs at all. My partner has always flushed for 2 weeks once 2/3 of the hairs are red, ive always gone by the crystal color.
Any thoughts?
Oh and the HPS buds are getting fuller and so are the LEDs but the HPS is leading in largest cola size, but honestly i think they are producing about the same amount total.

.....lol why would i lie....if u wana pull serious weight on limited power....my boy pulls INSANE off the Octagon hydro vert system using 1800 watts...he pulls 3-4lbs every run...3 wen he runs purp 4+ wen he runs diesel and dream.....take care

Thanks for the great info! You just made it easier for me to decide on picking up some LED grow lights.
I have a lot of heat issues with my 400watt HPS lights in my grow tent. Hopefully with the new LED I wont have that issue anymore. Plus I will be conserving more energy which is always a plus.

He got his at hydrogrowled.com. I read this log from start to finish and I must say that you sir are convincing me to check out some of those panels from this place. Well guys, I have decided that the LEDs are ready for a 2 week flush. I determined this because I am unable to tell if the crystals are clear or cloudy because the color the LEDs put off make it difficult to tell. SO im going by the color of the hairs, and I would have to say that about 80% of the hairs are a neon orange color so im assuming that is the color they turn under leds as opposed to a red brown color. This would mean that they will be finished flowering on time and will be chopped after a total of 9 weeks flowering.
The plants under the 1000w are slightly behind, probably by 2 weeks. But i'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and say it is because ive developed a slight algae problem in the bottom of the tray growing on the roots that have over grown the pots.
Either way I have come to the conclusion that this particular brand of LED does not cause the flowering cycle to be prolonged. Now all that is left is to let both plants finish dry, cure and weigh it all out and see the side by side weight and quality differences. Just for the record, there are 7 plants under the 1000w and 9 under the LED. Not that the amounth of plants matter, I couldnt fit another plant under that 1000w if i wanted.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SET UP A TIME LAPSE VIDEO? Once I get this next test going with all the same clones I want to do a time lapse showing the differences in growth. This current experiment is cool , but I want to fine tune it since each plant has different genetic types in the current one.

Nice! I certainly see that LED can produce...As LED's become more common, I'll be able to afford one and have parts available. One thing that bothers me is the 30-50 thousand hour light drop...Much better than my T5's at 10,000 hrs, but I can change by bulbs...Does Sunshine address this?

I just read that whole thing. I enjoyed it very much. I appreciate you putting that link down, I always find it difficult to find useful threads when I search.
But much to what Zeus was saying, the buds do look pretty ripe, the hairs have receded back into the buds and the seed glands are swollen, the HPS on the otherhand looks like it has a ways to go.

You know that is a good question that I did ask a few months back before I purchased the lights but I cannot remember the response that was given to me. I'm pretty sure that the only thing they replace are the fans.
