315 CMH heat management

I have a point and read thermometer. My canopy height is around 73 and the other thing i used showed 80.

Extraction fans are simple. Carbon scrubber in tent with a 4 inch duct going to your exhaust fan out of the tent (if you have the room) and a fan controller. I use a veriac transformer to dial it in just right but a regular controller will get you started cheaper.

The veriac removes the fan howl caused by the cheap controller which uses voltage interruption to work. A veriac transformer changes the voltage going in.

I run 2 tents totalling 10 square feet with a 4 inch fan at 50% currently. 73 degrees canopy height in both tents (one fan with a T pipe pulling 2 carbon scrubbers)

Your scrubber will decrease your tent humidity when compared to ambient air by about 3 to 6%. It matters if you cant get it past 30. The girls tend to suffer.
A point and read thermometer is for surfaces not air i thought?

Well yeah, i can only have so much exhaust before it sounds like a rocket ship from my spare room.

but still regardless, tried higher cfm still issues, had to get an air cooled hood to control the temps. :?
I just bought a new fan, I have owned lots of fans all worked great but none were particularly quiet, even the silenced fan I had ran at 50db. My new one is 25db, literally can only just hear it in the room and cant hear it anywhere past the door.
Which is nice because im always looking for quiet and have super sensitive hearing. Wish I had bought this years ago TBH but I bought a very expensive fan previous and stuck with it for many years due to the cost.

If your ever in the market for truly quiet fan that can still shift air I can give you a link. Im English though but im sure they are made in china so could probably be sourced in other parts of the world.

BTW its highly likely from your first post that your fan doesn't have much pressure rating. Because you shouldn't be getting such a rise from ambient with that cfm.

Im interested in the Sunplix 315 CMH, but I'm concerned about heat. Anyone have any experience with heat management with one of these. I usually grow in a closet that's about 4' long by 2 1/2' deep by 8' tall, but thinking about using a 4.3' x 3' x 6 1/2' tent. These are expensive and I don't want to waste money because I can't manage the heat.
Just put a cheapo 6000 BTU ac in the room where the closet is. Set it to 70 and ur good as gold, as long as you have air intake and air exhausting out the tent.

Hey dude, awesome stuff sounds appealing. Im sorta in the same boat! a link would be much appreciated for sure.

got my temps to 25degrees with a aircooled hood and a 315cfm hyperfan + 315 cfm filter. noisy bugger though

This is the 6" one I bought, they have the stats for the other fans in the pictures, db rating and airflow on speed one and two.. I don't think they list them all but they say they sell all the sizes. Bear in mind they are lower airflow than average fans at 370m3/h for the 6" which is only 217cmh so bigger might be wise for you. They do handle ducts and filters well though.

If you want I can record a vid with audio, but not posting that publicly as im not 100% I can remove all the metadata from a vid. But PM me if needed.
Take it easy. :bigjoint:
