33 days into flowering

Well its been a long first run, but here are FINALLY some pics from flowering...33 days in. It's "Grape Goo" (that's what I was told when I bought the bud) bag seed. The bud smelled like grape blunts in the bag, but my baby just is smelling very earthy. Tell me what you think. Heh, and yes I know she is a little big for her home...didn't anticipate it to get THAT bushy. (Pretty neat though)

Im guessing, by ice you meant from nirvana... If so it says it needs 8 to 10 weeks of flowering. You can also by a 60/100x lighted magnifier and look at the trichs to figure out EXACTLY when you would wanna cut. I can go in to more detail if u need

yeah, to tom__420 and colem8. I know the strain name (that's what a dealer called it so who knows) and all I know is that it is indica dominant so I am going to start looking at trichs at about 45 days and make a judgement call about harvest time. thanks so much for the complements. i have learned so much from this first grow and i am really pleased with the results thus far. time to go to the hydro store and get a magnifier!!!!

huh...well after masterful recalculation (aka simple addition) i realized that she is only 26 days into flowering. ugh i feel like such a novice! ...oh wait...i AM! no worries then. that said, i have a few questions.

does smell get more potent and/or change later into flowering or does it stay pretty uniform? i ask b/c my baby just smells earthy but not that strong (which is fine by me i love earthy bud) but the bud it came from had more of a smooth fruit (grape) odor. i have gone 100% organic so i would assume that would give it that smell. i'm not sure how the original was grown. so does anyone with experience (or the knowledge) have any insight into the issue or know what i should expect?
ALSO
i'm sure this is to be assumed, but does majority of trichome growth occur in the last few weeks or should i expect them to have already reach their peak in number and size and just be looking for color in a few weeks?

thanks again for everyone's help

600w HPS with Hortilux bulb. Space is cramped and it gets REAL hot, but wow that thing can grow some bud. I think I may relocate or consider cooltubing it next time.

Very nice my green fingered friend!!

This is totlly up to you but i had the same problem with the smell, u can if u want, very gentley disturbe the buds by touching them with ur fingers (make sure they are clean) and be very gentle i found that it released the smell, i had lemon skunk and was worried that there was no lemony smell i did this and could instantley smell lemons. Nothing happened to the plants they carried on growing fine, but it stopped my worries

Yeah, I tried doing this very gently on a small leaf and it made my fingers quite sticky! Smell was noticably more pungent too. You are probably right. I'll just wait and see I suppose.

Edit: Can anyone answer the question about when most trichome development occurs?

From my experience, it seems that during the week or two just prior to "perfect time" is when the top glands multiply like mad. There comes a time when one can't deny one is stinking up the place . . . just prior to that.
I'm just guessing, but have grown plenty.
