This question has come up a million times. Somebody's gonna post a link from SIMM after me. Don't read it, it's all BS.

Try the search function. This is at least the 3rd thread in the last week from new members asking the same questions. Using the search will save you a ton of time, and give you all kinds of info in the forum.

Not trying to be a jerk....just helping you out on the forum.

There are differing views on the subject, but I do personally keep them in a 3 day dark period. I only water once on the second day too, I am a hydro grower.

Hope your nugs are what you wanted them to be and more.....

Happy growing :).

ya i read about that for resin production right?

i searched and read some on this topic and its pretty evenly split with people who do and dont agree with it. i think like someone also said on this site it is probably more so strain related then anything. some strains can and some cant.

Yeah I was taught to do it. As for your question I dont know why that would be useful most plants stretch anyways once you hit them with the HPS. I veg with a T5 and everytime I put my plants under the HPS they stretch for a couple weeks which is pretty normal.

hps has nothing to do with stretch, is all about light length, stretch can be stopped if vegged in a certain fasion using the 12/1 light regime
