37 days in and trichomes cloudy/amber?

hey so I'm a little over 5 weeks into flower of my ak-47 girl. Her buds don't look big enough to harvest but when I examined her trichomes today I found that many, or most on some buds, of her trichomes are already cloudy. Even on a couple of buds there are a few amber colored trichomes. Should I havest very soon?

Also could a few people post some pictures of buds close to harvest time? I've seen many pictures of whole plants about to be harvested but not many up close of specific buds. This is my first time so I'm not sure what a ripe bud looks like.

Thanks guys toke up. :bigjoint:

don't get too obsessed with trichome color, it's just part of the big picture
if your buds are as small as you say, you've got plenty of time to wait
trichomes on leaves will have plenty of cloudy/amber well before the buds ripen
pictures always help of course

Here's a pretty good picture of them. I'm not sure how much bigger they will actually get but they aren't terribly small.

the party is just getting started, those buds will get much thicker
weeks to go, but the picture looks pretty good, you will be rewarded for your patience

Yes, and the buds and sugar leaves will continue to form and produce new clear trichomes equalizing the overall clear/cloudy/amber pecentage.
In my opinion you're nowhere near harvest, another five weeks minimum.

I would let those plants be. Would taste terrible if pulled now not to mention low weight. Are you checking your trichs under the hps?:bigjoint:

I'm actually using all CFL's and I have checked them under the lights and not under the lights.

If it can't be seen from the picture those bud's are about an inch tall and probably half an inch thick plus there are about 30 or so other buds on the same plant about 6 of which are the same size, give or take a few milimeters. I feel that if the growth rate didn't speed up at all and I waited another 5 weeks the buds would be around 6 inchs long. I'm not much of an expert but I really doubt my little girl is gonna produce that much. But I do hope you guys are right that there is much more growth ahead, I was thinking that I had 2-3 more weeks at most but this is my first time so what do I know?

much depends on how much light you have, but ak47 has a good rep for producing plenty of bud
but a 6 inch main cola wouldn't be surprising at all
she's going to explode, and expect the smell to increase with that bud increase

Definitely wait. Most of my buds almost double in size in the last two weeks. They dont get any nutrients because of flushing but have enough stored in the leaves to grow until harvest. Gotta wait if u want her 2 show her true "potent"tial.

Thanks guys this clears up a lot of questions I had in my head. I had been wondering about the smell since as of now there is a slight greeny smell to my room but not a straight dank smell. And the bud size I was worrying about as well, so far her growth rate hasn't been very quick when I had heard they're supposed to "shoot up" during flowering. It's nice to hear much of the growth won't be until the very last couple weeks.

Also,
I am using 6 2700k 1 5500k and 1 6500k CFL. Will the development of my buds be of lower quality, take longer, or anything of that sort?

so maybe 200-250 watts of cfl's?
that should cover 1 plant pretty well, depends on how big it is
quality should top notch, i grow with cfl's and they produce good, solid bud
just keep them as close a possible without touching the plant, if they touch, they burn

Way too early to chop. Wait until atleast 80% of hairs are brown & then look for balance of amber & milky trichomes to taste.
