3'7" x 1'11" x 8' Veg/Flower Chamber Light and Cultivation Questions

Hello
I am setting up a grow area in a skinny closet with sliding doors, the total size is 5'7" x 2' x 8' high.
I am going to partition a 3'7" x 1'11" x 8' Veg/Flower chamber. I am using these dimensions because there is a closet organizer structure already there that partitions the closet. The other area will be a clone/veg area and storage. I will use panda poly to block off the area.
I will install a 6in 452 CMF inline fan exhaust pulling air through the carbon filter, through the cool tube/vented hood and then out to the attic which is directly above. The air intake will be passive through the sliding closet doors. The closet is in a extra bedroom and will be locked.
I plan on using an Ebb and Flow system of some type, most likely a DIY project.

Any help with the following questions would be appreciated.

What size lamp would I be able to use? I am thinking 400w. Would I be able to use a 600w?

What is better for this space, a cool tube or a vented reflector?

Which cultivation method would work well? I am thinking a SOG with a short veg. How many plants would I be able to fit?

I am open to all suggestions and in no way committed to one method.

This site is a wealth of knowledge and thanks to everyone who contributes.

No opinions or ideas? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I will put up a journal when I begin construction.

With such an oblong room, you would be better off getting 2 150w/250w lamps instead of one larger on so you can get more even light distribution.
You might be right but that increases the start up cost for the lights. Do you think it would be worth it? How far apart should the 250w lights be?

My friend has almost exactly the same setup, except its his flowering space.

He has 4 plants in deep water culture with constant drip system. its Verry narrow coubard with a 400w HPS and a extractor. Suprisingly he got 250grams from the grow.
My advise would be to get a 400w HPS for flowering and a few compact florecents for vegging. I find the simplest hydro method is ebb and flow with the pump on a timer. because its such a small coubard, veg until the plants are developed and healthy, then throw them into flowering for 10 weeks. Remember they grow a shit load when you flower so dont veg them too much !!

Thanks for the info. How long did your friend veg to get 250 grams?

Since you have vertical space but not horizontal, you could do 2 grows stacked on top of each other by using scrog if you needed more yield from that space.
