3k flower electrical and design help needed

Good afternoon.

Room will be 12 x 5' x 7' tall. Running 3k hps air cooled hoods.

240v current will run the system. Currently the room is wired for 120.

The first question is: would it be better to run 240 into its own terminal circuit breaker box and then into a four light terminal such as a blueprint hub 4 or similar operated by a heavy duty wall timer?

Or run the 240 into a Helios - 9 or similar which would essentially be a 4 lamp controller with circuit breaker and timer built right into the unit.

Second question is would two 6" exhaust fans connected to carbon filters be enough to vent the room. One 6" inline also will be dedicated to vent the hoods via the same timer as if it was the fourth light on the Helios 9. The fans are all 392 cfm. Two for room exhaust and one for the lamps.

Budget is on the high end, wiring will be professional.

It doesn't matter on really on the light controller. Although I think its worth it to buy a controller with a timer built in. It just looks cleaner.

As far as the breaker......I'm not a electrician so I don't want to say but just ask electricians advice. I just followed manufacturers directions.

Yes thats enough exhaust cfm.

It all depends on your greenhouse controller.. Some of the environmental controllers use the trigger cord. If you dont plan on using an environmental controller use the helios 9. If you use a controller like say the iponic 614 that uses a trigger for the lights use the blueprint 4 way hub.

Now I dont know about the CFM for the room, a quick calc on the cf for the room and taking away roughly half of that for the carbon filter, (I dont know what your carbon filter is rated for). Should give you enough cooling power, and scrubbing power if you pull through the carbon filter, and pass the exhaust over the lights as long as you have a fairly straight ducting. But really you should verify temps with an non contact IR thermometer after things are setup.

The Helios will have a trigger for the lights and timer built in.

The greenhouse controller will be a basic unit the will run the exhaust and co2. That unit will be on another circuit. Pretty sure that setup as described will work. Gotta talk with the electrician.
