I thought nothing of it earlier^^^ But after Franjan's explanation I have to agree as well..............JUST use a party cup, it's not hard and winning this comes down to genetics more than anything

Some people have a hard time starting seeds, let alone growing in a Solo Cup.. Some people are better off on the side lines...lol

^^^^Well the hydro guys have a degree of difficulty going on, which is one of the reasons why Dawg won the last comp. Everyone acknowledged that even finishing the comp with that setup was a deed worthy of first place. The plants/roots are staying in one cup the other is to keep it alive. And that's kinda why I don't have a problem with the folks who want to attempt a hydro cup. And they are using 16oz party cups so......
But I will abide to whatever the final ruling is.

I have to now. I can't say I like it, but Franjans jealousy got me. I don't have any expectations of winning anyways. It's my first 12/12 from seed, I'm new to leds and the light is a china-man one. I just thought it would be good idea. Fabric pots weren't always around, times change, growing evolves, but oh well.

I suppose the arguement that the hydro grows require more skill/attention, I can somewhat agree with your disqualification of my idea. I still think it falls within the rules, but like you I will abide by the Dawgs ruling. Red cup it is.
P.S. Just so were clear, (I don't want to be labeled as a person who makes flase claims) The pot is made out of plastic.

Well, my BF LSD germinated, but the seedcoat was stuck on the cotyledons and I broke the plant trying to get it off. It's just a stem in the dirt; I'm going to leave it until it dies to see if any leaves can develop, but it's probably slowly dying. The THC Bomb is doing well- the seedcoat was stuck on it as well, but I was able to help it fall off without problems:
I think I'm going to germ a couple more next week since we get until the 10th
Here's the light I'm using:
