I'm wondering about if I'll need anything else besides the Inline fan and carbon filter. I have enough stuff to install everything inside my tent but the carbon filter it big so how high my can lift my ligh would be reduced. I was thinking about installing outside the tent. Also I heard I would need some sort of fresh air coming back into the tent. I'm preety confused, My main concern is the smell so I would only be using it during flower I suppose If you could show me your set up that would be great to please

You need to have the fan on constantly for the whole grow. It replaces the air the plants use and also removes hot air from the space.
I'd leave the fan outside of the tent if possible, and hang the filter as high as you can in a corner. Some 4" ducting will let you do whatever.
Your tent should have vents at the bottom, you can adjust how much air is coming through by how much of the screen is uncovered.
Try to find a balance of airflow in/out where your tent walls cave in a little. The negative pressure you're creating will help plants grow and also make sure that all of the air leaving the tent will be filtered.

So hang the carbon filter in the tent run the Ducting out of the tent and connect it to th Inline fan and that's it. I seen a video of that set up but he also had an extra carbon filter connected outside the tent I believe. Here another video

I'd use the two filters if smell is really an issue, or get a filter that's rated higher than your fan. Either way, negative pressure is necessary to make sure everything that leaves the tent goes out through the filter.

So the video I posted is the exact way I should hook it up, and if I wanted to I could attach another filter to the other end of where there is no ducting? Thanks for the info

I didn't watch the video. I've watched a million videos. Just use common sense and you'll get there. Hang filter in tent, connect ducting, run ducting to exterior of tent, connect ducting to fan, connect additional ducting or filters as needed. Once you do it you'll see how easy this all is.

On my first tent, the filter/fan was the first thing I set up. I was honestly most worried about the installation. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Just take a few min, think everything through, mock it up, and then go for it.

On my 3X3, I didn't have one of the big vents open at the bottom of the tent, I used one of the small intake vents. This will create negative pressure. You want negative pressure. The walls of the tent should bow in slightly when it's all zipped up. Here is a pic of my old 3X3 with the filter installed to give you an idea of how I did it. You can see the intake at the bottom left of the pic that I had open. Everything else was sealed as best I could. Gave me the perfect amount of negative pressure. Hope this helped.
