3x3 Organic Autoflower grow

Hey everyone
This is my grow journal for my 3x3 autoflower grow. This is something I’ve wanted to do for awhile, as I’m new to growing autos. I’m learning as I go. First couple of post will bring you up to speed on the growth and development of the ladies from sprout to now
Setup includes
TENT
- Secret Jardin 3x3x6 DS 90 R.4 model
EXHAUST/AIR PURIFICATION
- Vivosun 4” 195cfm in-line fan w/built in speed control attached to vivosun 14” carbon filter. And a 3 speed 10” circulating fan (generic Walmart brand) just for air movement.
LIGHTING
- 2x “Growstar” Led/Cree Cobb units. 1x G.S model 1200s/1220w equiv. With quad Cree Cobbs (actual draw is 250w) 1x G.S model 600s/600w equiv. With duel Cree Cobbs (actual draw is 150w)
NUTRIENTS/MEDIUMS
- Orgainc potting soil (generic brands from local hardware stores), Gaia Green (BIG FAN! LOVE their products Highly recommend) G.G All purpose 4-4-4, G.G Power Bloom 2-8-4, G.G Worm castings and G.G Bone Meal 2-16-0. 4x 2gallon “Opulent” Fabric pots.

I hope you enjoy this thread as much as I’m enjoying growing/posting. Feel free to comment on anything, I’m open to opinions and advice. I don’t claim to be expert in anyway, and please no negativity.

Pic updates from Oct 10-13
Just vegging nice and growing good, soaking up rays and water. Only thing other then water was do first round of LST on the Blueberry and the Cheese plants. Used metal U shaped wire (cut from metal coat hanger, great for this.) Tangie and Royal Dwarf are a little behind so I let them be for now, might lst next week depending on their growth. Till then enjoy the pics people and as always feel free to comment, give advice ect.. I’m open and easy going. Just no negativity or trolling.

Pic/Grow update Oct13-today Oct18
Not much has happened, plants are vegging nicely. Growing steadily, Tangie and Royal Dwarf are catching up, did a 2nd round of LST on Blueberry and Cheese. And just this am ( like an hr ago) decided to try the “ponytail” technique on Blueberry’s top that has been LST’d but branch gotten really rigid and not wanting to bend anymore risking breakage. So ponytailed it leaves. Gonna leave it like that 24hrs and see how much the other branches shoot up. It was covering them almost completely but it being an Auto I don’t want to stress it too much my cutting leaves away (heard that’s a no-no with autos) so we’ll see right ? Live and learn anyone tried the ponytail tech? And have any input? Feel free to comment as always. Just no Trolling or negativity. I’ll do another update showing ponytail tech. results on Monday or Tuesday till then

Good start in grow . As you get better and better with your efforts look into a upgrade in lighting.
For the money there are better choices that will show right away in growth and performance .

But we all started somewhere, so great job so far.

This is the lighting/exhaust set up, older pics but the same today. Except I got rid of the cfl/led units. There was no need, the 2 Growstar units provide 400 true watts of light beaming down on my beauties which should be more then enough for them. Eventually I’d like a Mars Hydro Ts2000 or a pair of Mars Hydro Sp 150’s in there but no funds right now for that. And I removed that space heater/fan unit and replaced it with a 10” rotating fan for better air flow/circulation

Got bored and decided to try Ponytailing the Royal Dwarf, haven’t done any Lst on this girl yet so interested to see how it turns out. Especially compared to the Blueberry I ponytailed and Lst’d allready. As I said in previous post I’ll show the results of ponytail experiment Monday or Tuesday

Morning update on the Auto flower 3x3. Girls all growing nicely as they enter week 3 from seed. Blueberry and Royal Dwarf both did not like the ponytail (kept in for 24hrs), no permanent damage but the leaves took almost another 24hrs to uncurl. Royal Dwarfs fan leaves are still a little rumpled this am from it, but I’m sure will fully flatten out again by end of today. As for benefits from it I didn’t notice much of a grow from the side shoots being exposed to extra light, and any growth that did take place could have happened with/without poneytail. So idk inconclusive I guess. Anyone out there tried it? If so what were your results?
Not much else, girls keep on growing, Cheese did start to show sex. But seeing how I bought seeds from reputable seedbank as autofem. I knew that was going to happen.

Decided to ponytail the Royal Dwarf again for a few hours again just now and see if I notice a change. 1st go I left it 24hrs, this time I’m gonna take off just before lights go out at 11pm
I’ll post a pic tmo am when lights come on.
If you have experience with this technique feel feel to comment
I’m open to all positive suggestions and comments.

Expose the nodes below large fan leaves to more light with out actually removing fan leaves. Another form of Lst

Removed the ponytail just a few mins ago, as before the leaves that were bound are a little grumpy. But they’ll bounce back, the side nodes did shoot out a bit but nothing significant as you’ll see in pics. Don’t think I’ll do it again on auto flowers at least anyways.
Also here’s some other pics of the girls, did final round of LST (I swear) on blueberry and cheese today as well. Tangie still remains untouched completely, haven’t decided what I’ll do with her if anything?? Times running out to decide though she’s 3 weeks old today.

Quick update
Cheese has decided to start preflower pistols at 3weeks and 7” tall. Should I be excited? or concerned?? She’s bushy as all hell but is she gonna stretch at all like photos do? Or stay the same height? Might be hard to see cause burple leds but right there at node next to main stem are pure white pistols. There are more but these are the biggest most visible ones.

Quick update on the 3x3 organic Auto grow.
#1 **Cheese**sprouted sept 28 started flowering this past Wednesday @ 22 days from seed. Now 25 days from seed and 2 days into flowering. Already have lots of pistols and buds forming see pics (both of the same cola) First taken weds, second just now. Lots of development in 2 days!
#2 **Royal Dwarf** I just this afternoon I discovered has begun shooting pistols, so I guess today is her first official day of flowering at only 20days from seed?!? She’s healthy and 7-8” tall no LST preformed yet but I’ll probably start that when she starts her stretch in a few days 3rd pic. Last 2 pics are of blueberry and Tangie, still both vegging nicely and waiting there turn to start flowering. I’m betting they’ll start in a week tops. Royal Dwarf II is vegging nicely still at only 15days from seed. If she follows her sister she should start flowering in 7days but we’ll see. Enjoy the update, feel free to comment as usual. It’s my Royal Dwarf II Autofem, she’s 2 weeks from seed (see pic). I always here shouldn’t too autos. But it’s still young?? Her sister Royal Dwarf I I wouldn’t cause she’s 3 weeks and just began flowering. But will topping the 2 week old really hurt her that much???
Anyone help?

I've grown a royal dwarf before and she was lovely I didnt top or train and she got to about 60 or 70 cm and nice dank buds I personally wouldn't top any autos but a royal dwarf is also meant to be small I'd let her bush out in all her true glory with no topping. Peace

What was your final yield from it? I’ve got the 2 going right now. Neither one has had any lst, most I’ve done to 3 week old one was remove 2 large fan leaves to expose lower bud sites. Haven’t touched 2 week old at all

I wouldn’t top any indica dominant strain - only LST.

Topping ime works best for sativa to control height and make an even canopy.

It’s stem as well as it’s sister that was planted the week before have insanely thick stems/branches. They’ll snap if I try to bend, and they’re autos so definitely not supercropping. The older plant started flowering 3 days ago at 21 days from seed as well so 2 week old has limited time for me to screw with.

Quick update on the 3x3 organic auto grow. Cheese and Royal Dwarf continue to throw more pistols as the are approaching beginning of week 2 of flower later this week. They’ve also begun to stretch nicely in the last day or so have added 1.5-2 inches in height. Things are looking good . Tangie and Blueberry are continuing to veg, but I suspect they will begin preflowering by end of week or early next week. Royal Dwarf II is vegging nicely as it approaches week 3 from seed, only a matter of time before she flowers to as her sister started flowering at 21-22 days from seed. I’m assuming roughly the same timeline.

Hi thc chef apologies I only just saw your question now, I don't weigh my plants after harvest usually , I just for personal use and I'm also too lazy lol but I'd say she was about 1.5 ounce maybe 2 ounces but I definitely think u can get way more I used shitty nutes and first half of her life had one shitty ish light. Good luck man I'm watching this one keen to see how they turn out. Peace
