3x3 tent (1 plant or 2) or 1 Mars Hydro TS2000 or two TS1000

The goal is efficiency and thick buds half lbs harvest.

I’m currently trying out one mars hydro ts1000 with one dwc hydro grand daddy purple. I’ve been looking at some harvest videos with the ts1000. And I’m not convinced that it will produce really thick dense collas. I’m willing to by a 2000 but since I already have a 1000 it would be cheaper for me to buy just another one ending up with 2 ts1000.

question is, do par values add up on top of each other or do they stay at the same rating due to their wattage?

for a 3x3 should I focus on one plant or I could squeeze in a second one and have decent harvest. They will be topped and trained for maximum coverage.

I just want to make the most out of my tent and idea of having two different strain at the same time seems awesome!

I think you could get 3 or 4 in there depending on if your training or not. I'm just basing this off the grow diaries I have read because I'm just going into veg on my first but I hope you don't mind my input.
In regards to the values adding up, not sure what you mean but if its when the light from 2 sources is on the same area on the tent I believe they will add up based on the centre PPFD normally being higher on the charts manufacturers provide.
I could be way off base with that so, grain of salt.

Poobzilla thanks for your reply! What I was wondering was, if I added two ts1000 would I double it’s par value instead of having 500 par ( 1 ts1000) I would add in a second one in and bump up the par to say 800-900 par

They say PAR values for flowering stage should be around 1500

If u have co2 u can go past 1000 par but I highly doubt u have aco2 so 1500 is not needed shoot for 1000

No it will not double, It may add around 100 Par around the centre 2x2 area but it won't magically almost double the PPFD. Im going from comparing the ppfd charts for the spiderfarmer sf1000 and sf2000 @ 18 inches height here, SF1000/2000 amazon UK. The sf2000 is two sf1000's basically.
I think you may have to go for the 2000 mars hydro for what you are looking for.
Fuck, was looking at a chart for a 24 inch height and comparing to an 18 inch. In that case yes, had to double check what i looked at after @coreywebster reply below.

With additional co2 yes but for the co2 that your grow area will get naturally your shooting for 900-1200.

Is the 500 Par value your stating for 18 inches such as in this Migro video? If so you could get 2 ts1000's and move them closer to probably 12 inches if you were not getting negative signs from the plant. I think it may have been another of your threads, remember that profile pic, I said that the footprint of light for your tent would suit the square shape of the tsw2000 over having the rectangular footprint of the sf2000.

I don't advocate spending more money as that's what I have had to do and wont be able to afford bud this month due to buying an upgraded light. But that's the choice I made for the chance of getting more bud and the first grow paying itself off. Depends on how long your grow has been going, you could sell it as lightly used for 2/3rds the price maybe. I don't know how well they would sell in the second hand market. Based on UK price the 1000 is 160 and the 2000 is 250. If you can sell the 1000 for 100 then makes the 2000 the same price as the 1000.

this is why 30-35 w/sqft is a baseline for good chips a good all around for anything that is white diode based those blurples u need like 50-55 wsqft with the mars I would do 40 watts a sqft because their using some shitty epistar diodes

Yes the photon count would be double and the light spread would be better!
You might be slightly shy of optimum in your space but nothing to say you have to completely fill it and you should get dense buds.

Yes it was from my other post Poobzilla. I`m sticking with this grow with the Mars Hydro TS1000 and see what comes out of it. But i`ll be more then likely get ride of it and buy myself a Spider Farmer SF2000 or Mars Hydro TS2000 for my next upgrade, then i`ll be confident I would be able to grow two plants and max out the wattage in that tent.

Ive got 10 days for my new light to get here so I can return my phlizon or else it supplemental lighting time as that thing will most likely tank if i tried to sell it second hand
