3x3x5 tent....

Hey people....I have a ...you guessed it a 3x3x5 tent I currently have a 2ft 8 tube T5HO and a 150 hps taking care of a cheese auto and a skunk auto and screw that shit I ordered a 600 watt HPS system. Is this too much light for that little tent? I have my exhast fan hanging in the tent which will have to get mounted directly to my scrubber outside the tent when the 600 gets delivered. But using 3 gal smart pots I'm afraid there won't be enough room for much veg growth to keep away from the light.....it's not a cool tube just a wing reflector cause I'm broke ass last year's G.I Joe with kung fu grip....any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just LST and you'll have plenty of space.. Tie down the main at 3 weeks and then just keep tying down shoots. I just saw an auto that looked like a perfectly round beach ball due to good LST.

600 is a little bit overkill for the first few weeks, but it will rock that space... Maybe keep the t5 on until flowers showup and save a little electricity.

The ballast on that 600 system is dimmable down to 250w however this is the first time I've ever used t5 and I must say they do veg the shit outa some plants just too weak for flowering in my opinion....I'm sure they would flower as I've seen some plants flowered under t5 but the buds were real airy

Is a veg tent out of the question? I would throw the t5 in its own tent and start some clones when you flower with the 600. That way you'll be ready for your next run.

That's exactly what I need to do but I don't have another 10 or the room for one I have a 600 watt metal halide but I can't run it while my other plants are flowering

I think your other problem along with the space issue is going to be heat. I run a 600w in a 4x4x7 tent and it got so hot I had to get a cool tube just to keep the temps down. That was with a 6in inline and carbon filter for the exhaust.

The ballast is dimmable....I can turn it down to 250w 400w 600w or super lumen whatever the fuck that is I'm assuming it's a notch above 600. I 2as actually thinking I could prob just run it at 400w....the should be plenty of light for 3-4 autos right? Plus that would help keep the temps down a bit I'm guessing

Yea you'd probably be fine. I ran a 400w open reflector in my tent till I switched the 600w and the heat was fine. It was only after switching to the 600w that I had to buy a cool tube.
