HPS has more infrared, that elevates the leaf surface temps. Thats why it "runs hotter" than other lights, it's the infrared.
Not sure what you mean, you mean just a normal split system? Most aren't designed like a mini, they are either ON or OFF. A freeze kit would be required to get one to run low ambient and generally that won't get you nearly as low as a mini that has the ability through it's inverter tech to run the fans and compressor as any speed, not just on or off.Or let me ask this might be a stupid question but can I not just mount a full size air handler to my ceiling and leave it open just blowing as long as I have plenty of air movement I can get 4-5 ton heat pump split systems cheaper but don't want to mess with duct work want the AC up and going pretty soon unless someone better at math than me could design an easy duct system Im sure I can build it. Still need to see how hard the low ambient parts are to install on those units as well.
