4-5 Ton AC recommendation

HPS has more infrared, that elevates the leaf surface temps. Thats why it "runs hotter" than other lights, it's the infrared.
Or let me ask this might be a stupid question but can I not just mount a full size air handler to my ceiling and leave it open just blowing as long as I have plenty of air movement I can get 4-5 ton heat pump split systems cheaper but don't want to mess with duct work want the AC up and going pretty soon unless someone better at math than me could design an easy duct system Im sure I can build it. Still need to see how hard the low ambient parts are to install on those units as well.
Not sure what you mean, you mean just a normal split system? Most aren't designed like a mini, they are either ON or OFF. A freeze kit would be required to get one to run low ambient and generally that won't get you nearly as low as a mini that has the ability through it's inverter tech to run the fans and compressor as any speed, not just on or off.

If you wanna save money, there is this option: you have two flowering rooms right, get one mini thats the ceiling mount, ducted design. Set it up with a zone system where when the lights flip (run the rooms on a flip) the AC is switched over to the other room with dampers (both the cool air but also the return). Then you could have one AC unit for both rooms. As long as it senses the room temperature from the return air plenum then it should work well.

Downside to that is of course, if the AC unit shits a brick you have both rooms running hot until it's repaired. So perhaps the mitsubishi works better for this flip plan.

I had been thinking of this too, one unit and ducting but I couldn't figure out to use 2 thermostats as the ducted head units come with a standard wired thermostat and I'm not sure if could cut power to one thermostat when the lights kicked off and power on the other one. Also worry about redundancy but as long as I stay with lights that will hook to controller I can always dim and vent for backup

They make a 5 ton unit as well that's only a like 5-600 more. So I was thinking I should def be able to run both rooms with that one on flip and have plenty of power just couldn't figure out the thermostat.
