4 days old plants droopy and dying

hey everyone!

I got a clone from the club and i left it in a cup plastic cup with no hole in the bottom over night. i put a little soil in the cup because there was a lot of water and a small brown ball at the bottom, but with the soil in it wasnt too wet nor too dry. I came back the next morning and it was all droopy and wilted, so i immediatly put it into a pot with soil and watered it thinking it was under watering. I check the next day and it was still really green, but still all droopy. It has been really hot here in los angeles (high 80's-90's) if that matters. I dont think its over watering because the leaves are getting really dry now, but it cant be under watering because i soaked the soil really well and it was still droopy.

whats the deal, all my other plants are beautiful except this one, this one was really strong until i left it in the cup over night. Im using the same soil for all my other plants and they are growing like crazy. im jsut trying to figure out what it could be?

I feel like im running out of time so any help is appreciated

i thought it was over watering too, but the leaves are soo dry they almost just crumble in my hands, but the soil is still moist enough for it to not be under watering.

it could be the heat its around 90 F here, so what should i do, i just watered them today because it was looking really dry. and getting worse the more days i let it sit without water

ok so it just got 100X worse in the next few days, it was not this bad on tuesday, its about to die is there anything i can do? my friend just checked on it today and the soil was still moist, but really warm im soo sad becasue before this it was so beautiful.

any help would be so appreciated

is it outdoor or indoor?

out side in nature, but we made a chicken wire cage around it so nothing messes with it, and we put a wall of boric acid around the outside of the fence so nothing gets in. its also in a spot where it get direct intense sunlight from about 8:30-4:40ish. then its in the shade the rest

most likely the heat then and thats hard to deal with out side. i gow indoor so i dont really have any neat tricks for outdoors but i would bet its the heat maybe put some cheese cloth over the top of the cage during the hottest parts of the day that might give it some shade and help it out some.

the rest of the plants are doing great. also should i spray this plant with water to rehydrate its leaves?

is the there any hope this this guy? or is he pretty much done?

that happend to my brother a few years back when he found a pot plant. it was out of soil for about 2 hours. it got to that and died pretty shortly after.. hope you get yours up and runnin. maybe move it to a more shaded area

shit ok, i guess i should just move it to the shade, would spritzing water on it help?

it might help slightly but do it at first light otherwise the beads of water will act like magnifying glass when the sun is fuly over head

how brown was the rootball now that i think of it becuase begieing or browing of roots is cuased by root rot

well there was an actual ball, not roots, it looked like a small brown marble, and the water was brown too.
but now that i think about it there was one massive root coming down and it was pretty damn brown. darker than tan, but just little lighter then chocolate. more like a clay color. i forget what the other smaller roots looked like, but i think they were white

yeah thats probly root rot when u said it first i didnt really click then u said other plants are fine and it came together honestly if it is root rot the condition that plant is in it probly wont make it and the only fix i know for root rot is the soaking with air rocks and the process of it would probly kill yours since its that bad. since the way i do it u have to take them out of their medium since its soil grow.Bad luck next time check for that since u know what to look for white roots=healty choclate brown = dying.

ok thanks, my homie actually sold me the plant so im gonna make him pay me back, or give me a new one!

just the one big root was brown, but the root was massive, it was maybe 8" (inches) long and that was the one that was brown. but all the others were white and fresh, does that make a difference?
