Looking good what the plan going forward, training, topping, just let it go.
MD
To be honest mate not entirely sure yet , maybe a little LST ...
1st auto and the idea of how they work suits me so don't wanna fuck it up by doing to much and putting myself off doing them again :/
Goal is some time next year to have a perpetual run with autos , chop 1 a month and with a rough 3 month life on them seems achievable without biting off more then I can chew lol

What sort of training you done with auto's MD ??

I used to circle train them with landscape clips, they are long staple looking thingys. Then I went to the binder clip method and I liked that it was easy and less stress. Then i moved up to my ladders and never looked back lol. I forgot Auto no topping it will slow them down. Now I put them outside in the spring and let them go all summer lol.

i understand if you put a very heavy weight on top of a seedling, it makes the stem stonger....
I wouldn't recommend it lol they would never get any light, anywhoo mounding the dirt up around the stem when they are that little will help do that too, Kelp Juice works very well for growing healthy roots too. Up pot without disturbing the roots, stuff like that works well.

I was reading something on here the other day about how some 1 trains there plant , thinking of going a similar direction .

Something along the lines of a wire coat hanger cut into little lengths with 1 end curled over , hook onto plant and peg down into soil , maybe work her once round the pot like this , no forcing just as much as she's prepared to give ..

Not sure tbh , all a learning curve :)

well since we're being serious now, theres something i saw here i'm planning to try the next auto i grow. too late for you now, but i think it might be a good idea.
he took a solo cup, cut the bottom out, and planted it in the pot he wanted his auto to go in, so the top stuck out of the dirt a little. then he planted his auto in the cup. the roots had a chance to ball up a little before they hit the huge pot, and the tap root could grow down as much as it wanted. he left his there, i'm thinking slit it up the side and use the dirt in the pot to hold it closed, then slide it out when the seedling looks good and healthy, like repotting with zero stress

Yeah I think I came across the same discussion , was definatly an idea that caught my attention and must admit once I dropped my seed in the 5 gal I spent days thinking I had just lost it in there lol I'm gonna do a little box to start another in a few weeks so gonna need a smaller start then final pot . Could be the way

You'd have to be careful not to put any pressure on the roots. I, myself, refuse to grow autos simply due to that lack of total control. Not talking shit, just conversing.

Don't come here talking shit ... lol

Each to there own really isn't it , seems to be a bit 50/50 when comes to people's views on auto's which is why I thought I might as well try 1 ..

What do you mean by lack of control , ability to initiate flowering ? Or just general unpredictability within the plants themselves ?

If this fails I want it to fail because autos are shit and not because I failed it because if I do fail it I will end up blaming the auto lol
