4 plants from seed experiment

Hey Folks

Well i have been a busy little bee today.

I began by getting myself another 3 litre airpot from my local hydro shop and while i was there i purchased my new nutes for the mothers and clones that i take once the perpetual is ready. CANNA COCO A + B i shall be buying some PK13/14 before any of the future clones go into flowering.

I am not running the full CANNA lineup of Boost and canazym and start etc just plain and simple A+B and PK13/14 along with some friendlies Trichoderma and Mycorhizal fungi.

Anyway i began today by making up a fresh batch of the A+B to EC 0.5 into a 5 litre container ready to soak the medium after transplant (incase anyone is wondering it took 5ml of A and 5ml of b to get EC0.5) i also pH'd it down to 5.9 and added a couple of grams of trichoderma into the feed and allowed this to airate with an airstone in it.

I then took my 2x3litre airpots and filled them with coco. Made a hole in the middle using one of the spare terracota coloured pots the plants were in. I then took each plant 1 at a time and transplanted them into their new home for a good few weeks and watered them in using the Feed i had prepared earlier.

Hope you enjoy. As you see the 2 mother plants together the PPP is the one on the left.

The other is just some bud porn from the ROCKLOCK.

Looking good. I really need to start to think about soil less, dirt is so boring and soil less you can really focus on the dialing it in.

I've got blisters on my fingers! :-)

Hey folks

Well here is an update on the ROCKLOCK.

She very nearly done. She has a couple of amber trich's here and there but i am waiting it out for a little bit longer. She is currently having some GHE RIPEN 0-6-5 npk for the next week and i will see how she goes along the way. She has been getting the ripen for the last few days and i plan on using it for another 4 days and then i will be watering with plain water for a few days to simulate a leaching.

Looks real nice, made some ISO hash/oil with clippings... stunk up the house... wife was pissed... writing from dog house.

lol.

Serves you right for being a chemist lol!

She's getting quite yellow now but she hasnt had any N for about 7days.

Ive also switched my nutes now to CANNA for my coco perpetual so i can see how they perform and then once i have it dialed in i will run some testing comparisons against a similar AN line up to see how the both compare.

Will probably just do CANNA COCO A+B with PK13/14 maybe some CANNAZYM and RHIZATONIC

Then match it against something like

Sensi Grow A+B
Sensi Bloom A+B
Sensi Cal/Mag
Overdrive
B52
Big Bud

or something along those lines. BUt i'll have to get the funds before i purchase all the AN products too Blooming pricey!

Hey folks

Well today was the day that i took the ROCKLOCK down.

I have included some pics of her root system that developed in the Hydroton/rockwool experiment.

Pretty impressive if you ask me.

I have also included some harvest pics next to a AA battery so you can judge the size for yourselves.

Some other pics of my mothers which i topped and am trying to root the tops.

enjoy

^Looks pretty good, J. How many weeks of 12/12 before chopping? I just cut mine at a little over 5 weeks, because it was starting to sprout a few bananas. Funny thing, I dried it and gave some to my buddy to sample, then he came back and bought it all from me.lol It was only 10 grams, but made me wish I would've trimmed more than just the main tops. At 5 weeks, it wasn't very dense, and waaaay immature, which just goes to show you how truly terrible our weed actually is, around here. My buddy said it was awesome.lol

I'm asking about the time to chopping, because I'm at week 6, and Ice was a tad ahead of the Rocklock. I'm guessing it'll be about a 9 week strain, give or take a few days?

Indeed, an impressive rootball. That was a healthy plant.

it was 12/12 since July 20th lol when i germed the seed .

but seriously though since it started flowering properly i'd say she's been going just shy of 10 weeks .

quite a few ambers on her so she was definately in the window.

had my first sample just the other day (quick dried in an envelope over a radiator ) not a bad smoke .

Cant wait for her to dry properly and cure.

J

^Oh yeah, I forgot that you went 12/12 from seed. 10 weeks isn't too bad. That's about what I'm expecting, but normally, I harvest some a little early, then keep harvesting for two weeks. I should be done with them all, by week 10, from the sounds of it. Cool.

Hey Folks

Well here is a quick little update on the mothers for you all.

I topped the plants around 10days ago and tried to root the tops which i cut off.

As you can see after 10days the PPP has enough roots showing to transplant into a 1 litre air pot.

I have also included pics of the PPP mother the Sour cream mother and now the new PPP cloned top mother. Im still waiting on the sour cream top to root shouldnt be long now.

Have also included a Nug pic from the ROCKLOCK.

After the time and effort that went into this ROCKLOCK i was expecting alot from it and surely dissapointed to see the scales weigh in at 16g.

LOL Granted its some pretty potent shit though lol.

This will probably be my last post on this thread unless others keep it alive lol.

Look out for my perpetual teasers here and there lol.

why are the leaves looking the way they are??

why are the leaves looking the way they are??

It would help if i knew which leaves you are talking about?

Do you mean the small one with the cut leaves?

If so i cut half of them off something i read about to help the plant develop roots.

Seems to work for me.

These leaves that have been cut a little will probably be taken off soon once more growth appears.

Hey folks

Thought i would just drop by into my thread and show those that like to know what ive been doing lately.

As you can see the mothers are coming along beautifully.

The taller one of the 2 is the Sour Cream surprise surprise its a Sativa Dom strain hence the height lol. Obviously the other is the PPP.

The 2 small plants, they are the 2 tops from each of the mothers that i tried to clone and it was successful. The PPP (the bigger of the 2 small plants) rooted in 10days and the Sour Cream Top took 14days.

As you may or may not be able to tell i have now cloned 7 plants from the Sour Cream and just a single 1 from the PPP as the secondary growth is just starting on the mother and i have them setup up on my propagation shelf in my flowering closet. Seeing as my closet is having some down time at the minute i thought i could use the shelf setup in there as my cloning station. I am going to be building a small box to sit on top of the mother box as the cloning station as there just isnt enough room in the mother box for the propagator along with the plants.

Anyway hope you all enjoy the pics.

Looking good, I'm going to do a horizontal LST and take the cuttings from the new vertical secondary growth, I fugure I can take the first clone in about 14 days.

Hey Folks

Well i thought i would just stop by and update this thread a little to show you the progress that i have been making.

As you can see the 2 tops of the original mothers that i took are coming on great guns. These are my 2nd generation mothers for me to use. In my propagator i currently have 13 sour cream clones and 7 PPP clones but i havent bothered taking pics of these as they are taking an eternity to root and dont look too good.

Anyway the original mothers that i took all my clones from are in the flowering closet as i want a crop soon. This is quite a big experiment as they are sitting in 3litre airpots and will stay in these until harvest.
In the pics below the plant which is tied down is the Sour Cream plant and the other is the PPP.

I have had to tie down the Sour Cream as it was stretching higher than the PPP so i am trying to keep an even canopy with these 2 plants.

Once the clones are ready they will have 5-10days under my 200W CFL in their 1 litre airpots and then will go into flowering.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

Looking good man! Subscribed. +rep.

What you feeding them? They under one 400 watt?

Here are my two journals

https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/380397-aeviaanahs-multistrain-hydro-soil-organic.html - new one
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/317811-purple-kush-bubba-kush-pure.html - just harvested in this one

Hey aeviaanah

Its a 600w Dual Spec but i get my new lamp tomorrow as the one i am currently using is almost 1 yr old.

Cooltube RVK inline fan etc etc.

Clone/mother box is just a single 200w ECO CFL works pretty good at keeping mothers happy.

The 2 new mothers in the mother box are getting transplanted tomorrow into 3 litre airpots then a bit of trimming and then they are going into flower as i have another 9 clones to transplant and fit in there tomorrow. lol

Its getting a little hectic around my house at the minute i seem to be spending most of my time up in my grow lol.

Also forgot to mention i am feeding them CANNA COCO A and B and they are about to have 1 week with CANNA PK13/14 added to their feed then back on the A and B after that.

Right on! It can be quiet hectic at times. Especially come harvest and when going perpetual. Maintaining a veg room, a flower room, and harvesting all at once.

hey Folks

Well i just thought i would gloat a little bit as i have just been to my grow shop to buy some more 1litre airpots x7 3litre airpots x2 some Mycorhizal fungi and a 50litre bag of ATAMI B'cuzz coco substrate and a new 600w lamp and look what i got given to try out.

Yes thats right 1litre COCO A 1litre COCO B 500ml BLOOM BOOSTER all by plant magic woohooo!!!!!!!

I love freebies!
