4 - strain - shootout

i have 3 female seeds skunk special from seed, 1 subcool spacedawg from seed 1 og kush from reserva privada also from seed [attitude freebie] & 4 superlemonhaze clones i call the red pheno theyre all just starting to flower & this should get interesting i have cloned everything & im really hopeful the r/p-og. turns out good the skunk special has grown aggressive since day#1 but the finished product will tell the storyive been getting good results with sub-cools stuff lately & spacedawg should be good as well im growing them in coco & 3 gal. smart pots using gh-flora 3-part nutes & a 600w. hps

ive been admiring purple og18 since its release ive grown purplewreck before & its good been wanting to try cc og-larry too

im working on getting my canopy straitened out im bending some over while the shorter ones play catch-up meanwhile my clones are almost ready to put under t-5s here is todays pics i cant wait until these babies pack on some weight

oh man... so much for skipping right to the smoke reports! LOL it's cool that you'll be directly comparing strains against each other. that kind of info isn't as easy to come by as it should be and really helps the rest of us try new strains that aren't schwag.

superlemonhaze im experienced with & this pheno is very good the others are all new to me the spacedawg was chosen because sub-cool says it will kill pain i have neuropathy in both feet & my right leg [diabetes related] im hoping spacedawg will help me sleep at night other than that i generaly prefer the upbeat sativa type high of certain hybrids

i think ive got the canopy about as even as its gonna get ill prune as i go along as i want the lower buds to develop as well my babies are doing good im gonna advance them into larger rockwool blocks soon later today theyre going under my 2' - 4 bulb t-5s . ive grown 2 other female seeds strains whitewidow-x-bigbud & pure ak pure ak is by far better than ww-x-bb in every way except maybe yield but what good is a bunch of stuff no one wants??? im hoping the skunk special is at least as good as the pure ak was the pheno of slh i have is a keeper it looks,smells good & is very potent im really hopeful that the og & spacedawg will be at least close in quality im thinking its gonna be the skunk special thats gonna be a little lower in quality ill know more as things develop

you might want to try high quality seed's haze x skunk. it should be good for pain as i just tuned out hunger pangs on it, and lost at least 10 pounds in a week as well as kicked a 6 pack of red dog a night habit. i wasn't trying t9o diet, i was just more preoccupied with whatever to notice. there's sometrippiness with the strain, but the coolest part was even after a month, it never got more stony than lead eye and the long lasting buzz started building up in my system so i'd wake up with a mild buzz.

i wasn't impressed with GHS' super lemon haze at all. it started out mutating and didn't settle until the 3rd or 4th leafset where everything else was already in flowering, and at least after a month, smoked no better than any other generic fruity haze where DNA sweet haze was faster, trippier, fruitier and stickier. it was a freebie i wanted to try to sort through all the love hate controversey for GHS. i didn't get any hermies though.

my bud canopy is filling in nice & in a few weeks will get interesting in 2 weeks ill be adding advance nutrients big bud in my feedings this is turning into a decent grow its gonna be hard to pick a winner based on finished product alone

ok ive had buds developing for a little over a week now & here is a strain-by-strain description of what ive got going on SUPERLEMONHAZE [red pheno from clone] early on sticky & has a slight sweet bubble gum smell. SPACEDAWG again its early but buds when you rub them give off a slight key lime pie smell sticky but not real sticky yet. R/P-OG. KUSH shortest plant in my grow with all the side branches developing little colas a little slower in development than all the others but looking good no smell or stickiness yet.FEMALE SEEDS SKUNK SPECIAL by far the most aggressive growing & fastest to start budding no smell or sticky yet this is my wild card as it clones & grows well probably gonna be a good performer in all categories but not over-the-top in smoke quality but pretty decent overall my plants have grown so close together its hard to tell one from another in the pics later on in the grow ill pull one strain at a time out for pics im still having to supercrop the spacedawg as it wants to grow right up to the light im having trouble with the usb cable on my camera i hope i can post this mornings pics well it looks like they came through this grow is so-far living up to my expectations

things are still filling in its a waiting game now

3 of the 4 strains are making a good showing & its way early yet but the r/p og is trailing behind the others & its the one i had the highest hopes for & odd enough the skunk special is the healthiest its still way early here is todays pics

spacedawg is starting to smell like lime sherbet the slh still smells like bubblegum still early but my favor is starting to lean towards the spacedawg im hoping they pack on some weight though

the spacedawg keeps getting better & the skunk special is still my most aggressive grower , superlemonhaze as always is good & the rp-og. continues to lag behind the rest of the pack but im hoping its like the ugly-duckling saving the best for last im using the g.h. keep it simple schedule with these 3 additives the first pic is slh & pic #4 is spacedawg at this point the female seeds skunk special is my top grower but i have reservations about the quality of the smoke its gonna produce

I am actually waiting on my SLH and SpaceQueen seeds to get to me... fucking sweet.

hey scotch you wont be let down with your choice of strains i have a few slh grows under my belt & everything i have grown from sub-cool has been very good [querkle, qrazy train, ace of spades & now spacedawg] here is a nug pic of the slh pheno im growing wish the focus was more clear i appreciate your interest in my grow we have about a month untill harvest i try to upgrade my info every few days & feel free to ask questions or add input

the og is starting to get its funky fuely smell but is way slower than the rest spacedawg really smells good & is sticky to boot the female seeds skunk special is really turning on as the slh all-in-all this grow is starting to make me happy here is todays pics
