You can always drop some mylar from the ceiling (A little wall) to lessen the space/increase light distribution. It's cheaper to close in your space to work with what you have than to spend on upgrades to cover it all... unless you already have the schematics done and ur mind is set. Either way it seems like it's gonna be a killer grow. Good Luck with everything.![]()
Going to start one myself. I still have enough brain cells to post journals on my grows currently.. just lazy lol I have one in week 8 flower and 4 clones in a 2x2 in week 3 of flower. I kept them short and flowered quick to work with my tents. I have 1 plant in a 2x4 and wouldn't have been able to fit another in there if I wanted to.very good advice thanks man and i really hope so dude.
I'll try get a journal sorted when i get set up![]()
The boards won’t get as good of coverage as the bars but they will work. You can get Kingbrite 480w boards for half the price of the SF TS4000 or 480w bars for about the same price as the TS4000.What about 4 x Spider Farmer sf 4000's in a 8ft x 8 ft tent
is that sufficeitn enough for Co2 supplementing
I've fallen in love with this light just shame about the $600 per unit price tag![]()
I have 4 mars hydro ii 900w panels 100 LEDS replaced only blue spectrum as i think these burn the hottest (460nm + 440nm)
All other LEDs seem in good order apart from a couple which i will also replace.
My grow space can either be 6.5ft x 6.5ft( 2mx2m ) or 8ft x 8ft (2.4mx2.4m ) I haven't quite decided yet but
i think the smaller one will accomodate the mars 900w x4 lights better for full coverage in flower.
The lights have been through 3 grows but i have no umol/par meter to test their current output.
According to MarsHydro 15inch is the sweet spot for best even coverage.
I'll be running everything top notch:
RDWC 9 X 9-GALLON BUCKETS + 1 EXTRA FOR RES
18 PLANTS
WATER CHILLER
RO WATER
CO2 TANK (800-1200 ppm)
ADVANCED NUTES
SCROG + LST
6.5FT X 6.5FT TENT
ETC..........
SO PLEACE HELP ME.................Do I use my 2015 MarsHydro 900's or Opt for better.

4 480w fixtures are the minimum wattage I would recommend for 8x8. That gets you 30w/sq ft.
Personally I would go with kingbrite or Meijiu over Spider farmer, same quality for less.
I'd say use what you have and add white lights. Your blurples are better suited for veg than flower. Don't rush into buying, there are lot's of lights to consider. Many are satisfied with Meijiu lights from alibaba, but don't expect great warranty service. DIY strip lights are very popular here, check out some of the builds.

2x4x6.5ft
Personally I would upgrade..... Got some good suggestions already. Not mars though, longevity issues still exist. Jumping through Social media hoops for some free lights works too I guess.
I'll recommend mars hydro when both @The Dawg and I are finally invited to the staff BBQ in China! Fuck yeah

Yes, they would work. Not sure what your fixation on co2 is about but they would do the job
I can't thank you enough for this post.....insiring my creative side....i love diy and electronics.
I'll be 100% giving it a try so if you imaging a 2m x 2m tent and 4 mars hydro 900w panels positioned centred in each 1sq meter space.
any space around them i will try and cover with strips....some work i bet but HOBBY is the name and LEARNING is my game.
Thanks again.
Ill try and take a sketch of what i may want and ask for your opinion fi youve done it yourself ?
Much as it pains me to say it, 4 x Mars-Hydro TSW 2000 looks like the best fit for that odd size
If you go 8x8 your costs go up but you have many more options
First, unless you’re getting 1,000 micro moles or more across your canopy the co2 is a waste. I suspect those lights aren’t giving you that. The 6.5 x 6.5 size isn’t well suited to most lights ... especially the newer bar/strip style fixtures. You should probably look at QB style fixtures.
You can certainly grow with your existing lights, but start saving for more efficient, better spectrum options
