40 Plant Grow Setup

I have started a grow using 40 GDP clones. The clones were perfectlly rooted in rockwool cubes then transplanted into 1 gallon pots using fox farms ocean forest soil. . They are going to veg 24/0 for 30 days then I will transplant into 2.5-3 gallon pots for flower. I currently have a walk in closet used as the veg room. The plants are vegging under a 6 bulb T5 setup. The closet it super clean and I have an oscilating fan in there too. I do not have an exhaust fan but the temp seems to be constant between 73.F and 82F. RH is approx. at 38%-45%. I created a zip-up door that I leave open so fresh air has access to the veg room. Also, once i transplanted i watered the soil. I am using fox farms nutes. I adjusted the PH to 6.6. I watered on the 10th. 2 cups each plant. The soil is still very moist and doesn't seem to dry out. There are holes at the bottom of the pots and i watered till a little bit of water came out the bottom. Should I be using a stronger Veg light? Please give all the best advice. Again I want these plants to get as big as possible in 30 days then Ill switch to 12/12 and the plants will be going under 4 1000 watt HPS. 10 plants per light. I have a goal on my yield set at 4LBs. Thanks. Please give advice and I will add pics soon.

4 1000 watt HPS lights are going to give off a shitload of heat, you are gonna need an exhaust system set up when you switch over.

When you are ready to go to veg stage, why not change the bulb color on the T-5 and add a second T-5 bay? You will have the same or better results with less energy (heat).

Yeah I know that. My flower room is gonna have 2 rows with 2 1000 watt hps lights. 8" aircooled hoods. each row is gonna have 8" ducting going to the 8" canfan exhausting into an attic. So yeah I will have 2 exhaust fans.

Hey Niggaboo (not sure how politically correct that name is... lol)

I am glad you decided to share your huge grow with us here at RIU! And super happy that I am getting in on it at the ground floor!!!

I have just 1 suggestion for you at the moment...

You gonna want to rethink the whole vent to the attic thing... All that moisture has got to go somewhere and it will, in the form of the ceiling dripping/falling on your head!

Try to vent to the outside - use your heating system's chimmney - vent to your basement - if that is your only choice, then hook up an exhaust fan up there to carry everything to the outside...

Trust me, you will hear of horror stories with venting to the attic...

I'm just saying...

:peace:
