I'm pretty stoned writing this but yes, like the title says I have a 400w hps and 2x2x5 grow tent.. How many plants? How much do you think I'll yield? Etc... Fox farm soil and nutes
I've grown before just ameature w CFL nd such. First time w hps

I understand the excitement of growing cannabis and having new equipment to do it. But you have not even popped seeds yet and you want to know how much you're going to yield? With that size tent and 400w, I would very likely do just 1 plant with LST and Scrog training. OR maybe 4 autos. What are you going too use to ventilate heat and air flow? 400w HID in a space that small will CERTAINLY require a way to cool down temps. I would suggest an air cooled reflector. However, the width of the tent may be an issue. You would need to have room for the reflector as well as space on either side for the ducting.
Anyway, you may want to post a thread in the indoor growing forum. I am sure you can find growerz that have the same size tent. Find out how they are dealing with heat. As it stands w/o proper ventilation, you will not ever be able to close your tent without frying your plants.
